Good Points: Durability, all weather. Excellent materials and manufacturing. All frame parts are identical. 3 cm diameter aluminium frame attached to pole sleeves with zips. Frame stays within the tent completely. Retensioning can be done with extendable frame parts. Heavy duty groundsheet attached to tent with zips, door part can also be put up for extremely wet conditions.
Bad Points: Packing volume / weight approximately 50 kilos. Instruction manual.
General comments: The Baco 400 family tent has enough space for 4 persons comfortably. It comes with two inner tents that are large enough for two persons each. The porch is included and can be equipped with an optional door/window. Tent material is made for all seasons weather with a lack of breathe-ability, is compensated with additional ventilation.
The tent has well thought through details, like a tension relief for the front door zipper when open. Connection to tent pegs is with D rings and nylon belts. All nylon belts can be re-tensioned.
I have used the tent a few times now and it has proven to be storm proof, watertight and very comfortable. After owning a few tents, I know this one is going to last forever and will live up to my expectations.
