“lasted forever”

★★★★☆

written by JaneyGray on 20/09/2011

We've had a Cookworks kettle for over 2 years now and still going strong. we tried laods before - Morphy, Breville but they all conk out after about 18 months. This one works fine though - a bit of the silver paint has come off, but there's no limescale and all going strong. Hope i haven't jinxed it by writing this review though. :-)

“My Cookworks MK-2217SAS Signature is broken after 8...”

My Cookworks MK-2217SAS Signature is broken after 8 months. It was bought Christmas 2007. I think it is a faulty off/on switch or cut off stat? I think this because it doesn't boil and goes on and off by itself.

“Minimum fill one litre is a dead loss, as the whole...”

Minimum fill one litre is a dead loss, as the whole point of a jug kettle is that it can boil a small amount, so you're not wasting power and time if you just want one cup of coffee. It takes three minutes to boil one litre - the same time it takes to boil one 250ml mugful of water in a pan on my stove!
