Good Points: The salesperson in my local store was not very helpfull. She didnt say if any more of my choice would be in at a later date or offer any assistance at all.In the current economic climate you would have thought every sale counted.

General comments: I bought a pair of shoes that had sold out of my size in my local store.they came very quickly, were in perfect condition and are so well made and comfortable i am going to use m&s again. I just hope they keep selling wide fit fashionable shoes.

Very poor delivery indeed. Had to wait in all day for delivery, then was delivered the wrong item. Have now had the wrong (large) item for a month. No sign of Marks and Spencer picking it up or bringing the right item.

My third order with Marks and Spencer - each one failed to meet promised and paid for delivery date.

Packaging poor - all my orders have arrived with packaging damaged

I chose Marks and Spencer over cheaper rivals as I thought they were a brand to be trusted. I spent £440 on a new washing machine and fitting. They didn't bring the correct tools so couldn't fit it (its not that hard!). They promised to agree a delivery time with me. Instead I got a text instructing me when to be in with no number to ring them back on. Then they still came at a different time.

I received the box with my Marks and Spencer 'order' from the courier, on closer inspection I noticed the tabs on the box had been tampered with and none of the items I'd ordered were inside! Just paper and a delivery note. I rang customer services and I asked for the order to be sent out again, next day delivery, apparently they couldn't fit it in to their schedule! The lady I spoke to couldn't get a manager for me to speak to on the phone either. Not very helpful really and now I don't have a ...

after visiting Marks and Spencer in Dubai, was confused as to why price mark up seems to be up 20% more than UK stores. Dubai is a duty free country (eg: does not have a vat of l5%). The dirhams when converted into sterling, gives Marks and Spencer even more profit.

Perhaps if Marks and Spencer's stock control was up to date then the situation might never have occured. Offering 3 for 2 and then not fufilling their obligations leads me to wonder if they have any concern about customer service. Incidentally this has also happend to a colleague at work so it is not an isolated incidence. Pull your socks up M & S, or perhaps they are out of stock as well!!!

Tried to order a couple of shirts for Christmas. Both in stock. About a week later, informed that one shirt was no longer available and a week after that, the other met the same fate.
Very delayed and poor response from customer service.

Slow, unreliable. Just don't bother - go to the shop instead.

Size not in stock, i was told it could be ordered the following day by telephone. This was understandable as this was 20% off day. 4th of December 2008 and all customer ordering had been stopped. However, I telephoned the next morning 5th of december 2008 at 8.45 and was told this item could not be ordered until at least the 16th of December 2008. I was told there were eight pairs of boots in my size on line. I then tried this to find there were not.As i have been a very loyal customer for about ...

I am writing as i am really annoyed. I went into Maidstone M&S and i bought a croissant and an apple juice. The lady tried to sell me a bag for either 5p or 10p so i asked if i could just have a little free bag (as i do every day as i don't buy that much) and she said she couldn't as it wasn't a takeaway item?!
I explained I was only buying two small items.
So i asked if i was buying a sandwich, would i recieve a free bag then?...
    and she said yes?!!
Please tell me what is the difference between ...

I was over the moon when Marks and Spencer started selling plus range, it was nice coming into store going straight to plus range not having to go through sizes that they know wont fit, now they are telling me to buy on line my size 26. How do I know if it will fit me not been able to try it on in store, the inconvenience of ordering then having to wait for it to come? We ladies large once like to see the size and fit there and then not in 4 or 5 days time sorry to moan, I feel very let down by ...

I Placed my order with Marks & Spencer through their online shop at www.marksandspencer.com on 2/09/07 with all, but two items being in stock for immediate despatch. I got my confirmation email that same night stating a delivery estimate of 5/9/07 - 7/9/07, except for the two out of stock items that would be shipped separately.

I waited, waited and waited some more. By the 12/9/07 I was fed up of waiting and I decided to email them a polite reminder that I was still awaiting my order. I was t ...
