“5* fitters, 1* after sales service.”

Friendly staff and salesperson/design expert, to begin with. There were no dramas, pre-sales. We even received a 20% discount on our fitted wardrobes, and he'd came in to work on the day that he was going on holiday to finalise the deal (get his % share). Once the surveyor had been and everything was given the green light, we were given a date on which it would be fitted. Very good stuff, so far. “Next Day Delivery - Utter Garbage”

On a Thursday morning Ordered 2 doors (same size) for next day delivery. Had email confirming order. Booked Friday off as holiday in anticipation of arrival - No contact from B&Q and no doors arrived :-). Tried to contact B&Q call centre - gave up waiting after 45 mins on the phone(twice). “Delivery support - nulle point”

Just as well I wasn't in a hurry! Three weeks ago, I received an order number and despite writing two very polite reminder letters, I have yet to receive a response. This is the type of service I expect in France, not the UK. I know that deliveries are subcontracted out, but three weeks with no contact, despite two written reminders, is a bit much! We visited B&Q at north Greenwich by a radiator. We were not sure about what one will be good for us, so we asked a member of staff, (we don't know her department but we found her name on her nameplate so we just wrote her name)Gerrylee. “fobbed off at every turn”

I bought a kettle tap form B and Q on line which my plumber tried to plumb in the steel tank was leaking I was told that I could have a replacement and that it as not possible to sent it express as the system was down I would have a call back not a chance. “Staff not interested in customer service”

I had checked stock on line for land drain pipe but when I arrived there was none on the shelf. When asked a member of staff did check and said it showed 5 in stock and there was another delivery due in 2 days time. No attempt was made to check further. When i complained at the returns desk about the service i was just handed a "YOUR VIEWS" leaflet and told the manager would look at it. Ordered £150 contiboard online 6th june, cash taken straight away. Order acknowledgement said delivery within 7 days, will phone to confirm in 24hrs. NO CALL , phone helpline permanently engaged , two emails NO response. Eventually get through on 21st june to be told out of stock not due until 11th July. Just walked out of the store in Leominster leaving my prospective purchases on the counter. Arrived at the till to pay, no queue, only one till manned. Girl at the till was being asked a question by another customer. She left the till to go to another computer. Three other members of staff could be seen at the rear of the store chatting. “sales prices changed without warning or not kept to !!”

On Monday 14th Jan I called at Buxton store to look for wallpaper and found they were ALL 15% off . I was informed this offer was on until 21st Jan. Being a canny pensioner I waited until Wednesday to collect a further 10% off only to be told the offer was on no longer, so I was quite cross with the staff - who, bless them, - were really helpful and sympathetic but could not over ride the edict from above.
