For the low price, Daisy's Powerline 990 is a tough, versatile, deadly-accurate, highly reliable air rifle that will last decades if not abused too much. It will fire either BBs from a built in magazine (capacity probably 100 -) or pellets loaded singly. It can be pumped up to 10 times (though it will reliably take up to 20) or a CO2 bottle can be used. The 990 features a rifled bore, hinged fore-end for the pump action, dummy box magazine which houses the CO2 bottle, fully adjustable rifle… Read Full Review

This gun is mad as a brush and great fun!
I love loading it with BB and shooting it on CO2, just cycling the bolt and firing, firing.
For pellet I tend to use the pump, it doesn't seem to be as powerful on pump as with CO2, but then I only put 10 pumps in.
The iron sights are adequate and fully adjustable for elevation and windage, unlike the Crosman 760 which are elevation adjustable only.
Build quality seems OK, the plastic forend feels flimsy but hasn't broken yet.
With a smooth bore barrel… Read Full Review

have had this since 1992; and it's still firing, well. cannot figure where to place the laser scopes I've seen on the web; after all it's a BB-Gun, but I want to try a scope on it for fun. It's a great little target rifle; I've messed up like "Ralphie" did in the "Christmas Story" when I fired off a BB and shattered the glass lens over a halogen floor lamp in my house...oooooo...that was not good but it still works (the rifle and the lamp)… Read Full Review

Got the Daisy 990 for 35 quid. It is hard to get now as it was discontinued due to the user not being able to tell if it is loaded or not, which resulted in the death of a 10 year old boy.
Don't let that put you off though! This simple BB rifle can use both pump and co2 power. It can also use BBs or pellets. Co2 only gives you about 25-30 shots per capsule which I guess is ok.
The gun is near enough dead on accurate for shorter range plinking. The gun outputs 650fps with co2 (which I don't… Read Full Review

Light not enough weight to keep gun down while aiming
Feels cheap and plasticy
End sight has to be filed down to remove
Light *Better for younger shooters*
Quite powerful but not a hunting rifle but good for target shooting
Cheap to run as it has the option of pumping… Read Full Review

I purchased this Daisy 990 air rifle for can and bird shooting with my grandfather about six years ago. My first thought on opening the box was, 'Wow, that is a cool looking gun.'
I have to this point fired about twenty thousand BBs through the rifle with no problems worth mentioning, save two minor issues. The plastic plug that holds in and provides pressure to puncture the CO2 cylinder is very vaulnerable to crossthreading, and doing so will destroy the plug entirely. This occurred in… Read Full Review

I ordered this rifle, not expecting that much to be honest. Got it via JS Ramsbottom in the UK for £39.95
On arrival, I opened it up and found the build quality to be quite good. I'm one who doesn't mind plastic stocks on rifles, but I'd have preferred black rather than the brown they used. The pack I ordered came free with a basic red dot sight, which took a bit of sighting in. But once done the rifle seemed quite accurate.
I initially loaded up a Co2 cartridge and filled up with a load of… Read Full Review

I personly use the gun Daisy 990 for shooting birds and cans or what not. The gun is very easily accesible by removing 5 screws and you are in the gun.
I love the CO2 or pump part of the gun. The gun is easily converted from CO2 to pump by a simple switch near the Co2 valve… Read Full Review

I got my Daisy 990 rifle from JS Ramsbottoms in Yorkshire, for a piffling £39, brand new! incredible price... Oh, and this came with a FREE RED DOT SIGHT!!!
Typically boxed in a way you'd expect from an American company, it looks like a toy at first glance. The stock is entirely brown plastic, with a stippled finish all over, and hollow too, which I suppose makes it lighter, and easier to use.
I first tried out the CO2 method of power, and it is just great! power seems to max-out at 7-8 ft lbs… Read Full Review
