Had my Magimix kettle for about 6 months and it is corroding and leaking. The water filter regularly falls out into the teapot or cup and cannot be retained.
Their supposed telephone support line simply keeps you queueing before dropping you after a long wait.
Their web site is also non responsive.
Paid comet over £70 for it one of my lifetime worst ever buys.Stay away from this Magimix brand for your own good.

Bought the Magimix Brushed Stainless Kettle from John Lewis expecting a top-end kettle - and not too disappointed, save for the remarkable noise during boiling and the usually-stuck lid, which we have learned to overcome by smiting it smartly on the lid whilst depressing the opening button. It is a quick boiler, which we prize. It is one of the very few kettles tried which pours properly (without dripping). When I am dictator, I am going to interview the worlds' teapot and kettle makers who ...

I chose this Magimix Brushed Stainless Kettle for my new kitchen because it looked so beautiful and I thought it would be efficient with a name like Magimix but how wrong was I. I am now on kettle no. 5 which is now leaking.

Have had the Magimix Brushed Stainless Kettle just over 12 months. noticed that it was leaking from the base. The lid would not open and the water level indicator developed a leak. Contacted Magimix Uk and they agreed to replace the kettle provided we produced the original receipt together with the serial numbers from the base. Very good service from the company but very poor service from a top end range kettle. Replacement kettle works fine.

I had high hopes for this Magimix kettle and initial impressions were good. And it was a Which? Best Buy. Then about a month in, we noticed small pools of water gathering under the kettle base. Thought I'd been careless until we wiped up and boiled again. More water. Returned leaking kettle to John Lewis who, to their credit replaced it without question. Took replacement home and started again. Within a week we had same problem. It's going back tomorrow, and we'll select something else. ...

As my Magimix kettle is still under guarantee I will be returning it and will have to look for another manufacturer as it seems this fault is going to re-occur with every Magimix I've had. What a shame they haven't sorted out the problem. I did email customer services but never received a reply.

The Magimix Brushed Stainless Kettle is quite heavy and INCREDIBLY noisy. We have an open plan kitchen and during a dinner party the noise of the kettle will bring conversation to a halt. Would prevent me recommending it to anyone. Don't buy it unless you live by a dual carriageway or under a flightpath and are therefore immune to noise anyway!

There is a story to me getting this Magimix Brushed Stainless Kettle. My Brita Acclario recently fused the entire flat, I initially opted for the Bosch (private collection) as a replacement because their kitchen appliances and tools have never failed to deliver the consistency and performance that one associates with their brand. Unfortunately, the lid hinge leaked steam onto the handle, which is a shame considering it was pretty much flawless in every other respect. The Bosch was immediately re ...

How can this kettle be so noisy? From Magimix I would have expected something much better engineered but when this kettle boils it sounds like a plane is flying close overhead. I have to turn the radio up a lot to hear it!

A really nice kettle, good to use but the noise is really irritating, and was not expected with a name like Magimix. I don`t know why but I took it for granted that it would be silent in use - how wrong could I be!!

To me the noise is the big issue. However, overall I am very pleased with this kettle.
