I bought the Big Cat for $130 (USD)from a dealer that isn't paying me to tell you their name ( so I won't ) It is undoubtedly the best air rifle I have ever used. It has enough power to take any small game I can think of, and the accuracy to put the pellet in said game. I am 15 and can kill a bluejay with it at 50+ yards offhand, so anyone who has been shooting for a while can really tap into the awesome accuracy of this gun. The scope and mounts are always being slammed by reviewers, but this is just because they are inexperienced in this area of expertise. There is a screw in the rear ring that tightens down into a recessed port in the reciever, and once you stop hearing a loud bang from the pellet dieseling non-lead pellets, it shouldn't move at all. just remember to avoid ultra lightweight pellets in a high powered gun, and vice-versa.

I am very pleased with my new Big Cat 1200 by Gamo. The first thing I noticed is how light it is. It took no time to sight the low-end scope and put lead on target with roughly 2" grouping at 35-40 yards. Thats more than likely from my lack of shooting skills. The best pellet so far for me is Beemans Cro-Mag hollow point. I have been taking down crow sized birds at approx 30 yards without much drama. For the price, you can't go wrong. Since I'm no pro, I can say if you are not one either, you wi ...

My Gamo Big cat has about 500 pellets through it, & is just an starter gun.

I got mine from a dealer who said it was strong & longlasting gun.
I've got an Quest 1000X and it is of the same Quailty, Just the scopes are both Bad, so just use the iron sites. at 30ft is the max for this gun, any more & your just wasting pellets. Cheep everything on the gun from Stock to the way is shoots. :(
Save your $$$ and & get a higher grade gun.

I have had this Gamo Big Cat 1200 gun for a week. I got it because of a squirrel problem in my back yard, have killed about 8 of them at 30 yards, the problem is that after about 5 shots I have to re-sight the scope, all the bolts are tight so I think the scope is not that great. As for the power, when I do hit a squirrel they do drop. I only wish it could stay sighted. Took it to a friend who knows how to sight better then me and he had it hitting bulls eyes took it home and again it was shooti ...

I am enjoying my first GAMO Air Rifle. The Gamo Big Cat is allowing me to stack squirrels like cord wood! Great gun out of the box. You will need to adjust the scope, but you can not expect any to be perfect out of the box.

I returned a Gamo Recon because I was unhappy with the accuracy and erratic velocity. The Big Cat is a very good rifle for the money. You won't win any Olympic medals with it but it is accurate enough to eliminate any unwanted vermin in your back yard. I am getting about 1 inch 5 round groups at 15 yards with it. The power is excellent and although I haven't chronoed it yet I have yet to have a bird survive a hit. If you are looking for an inexpensive rifle with higher end performance this is t ...

Hey i just got the Gamo Big Cat 1200 today i mounted the scope added some fingernail polish to the screws on the scope for added small lock tite so they dont back out or loosen.. I took 2 shots and was only 2-inches low and 1.5 right i corrected that in the scope and printed a 3/8 group at 30feet off hand.. The air rifle is very light and surprisingly quiet.. I have a gamo-shadow and its great but now i think i have anew favorite....

I've only just picked up this "Big Cat" earlier this month from a Fleet and Farm in Appleton Wi for just over $110. So far I'm very surprised at how accurate it is, compared to my older Daisy bb/pellet guns from when I was just a wee lad...The stock scope it comes with is, what I would say a bargain value scope, but does It's job quite well... As for most scopes, the sighting in was made much easier with mounting if you turn the scope around while tightning the mounting the rings to the top of ...

The Gamo Big Cat 1200 is an amazing air rifle. Accuracy at first wasnt too good. I had to break the rifle in for a good 1500 shots. After the break in the rifle was shooting a lot better. The power of the airgun is pretty brutal.. i can take down most small game with this air rifle. And i love the fit and finish of the rifle. ive had the rifle for over a year now and the rifle is working like the first day i got it. I got a new scope and trigger for it which greatly improved the performance of t ...

The Gamo Big Cat 1200 is super strong, accurate, light, just the most fun I have ever had with a pellet gun. Waited too long to get one. I find that the trigger pull is long, but I have got use to it. Do your self a farvor and go buy this gun.

Gamo Big Cat 1200 air rifle has brilliant power, value for money, good accuracy, easy to use and has a nice weight and feel. I've had this gun since last summer and really enjoyed using it. i havnt yet had the chance to use it for hunting any type of animal so i dont know how it will perform in that area. overall from my experience of it i think it is a brilliant gun, i would advise anyone interested in a good value and easy to use gun to go for this. Scope was kinda hard to sight in although ...

Better than expected, trigger is a little harsh, but fine once you become acclimated. I consider the scope free because the rifle alone was worth money, I honestly can't complain there. I have never dealt with Gamo, but if their staff is as good as the product its an even greater boon.
