worse meal had in years. starters mainly overcooked, baby corn limp all dishes worse than I could have had in the £9.95 Buffed a short walk away.Asked if we could have the whole fish which looked nice prepared in pieces came back just the same but with head and tail off. Asked if did capuchino said yes , brought me a black coffee and said it was the machines fault I could have milk to put in it!!!! I declined the black soup coffee...

Quite frankly, this place is a shambles. We went there because we wanted to then go upstairs and sing karoke. We booked the private room for karakoe. So to make it easier for everyone (there were 14 of us) we ate at the restaurant. For a start they did not put enough seats nor table settings down. We needed to ask for 2 more. Then when the food arrived, they missed two main courses and bought out something no one had ordered. Somehow, they managed to "cook" these 2 meals in about 7-8mins...

Siam Orchid is one of a few Thai restaurants in Manchester that sit on the outskirts of Chinatown and is probably the one with the best value for money. The menu is typically Thai with lots of spicy curries (the duck red thai curry is amazing), noodle dishes (the Pad Thai is excellent) and a range of the usual meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. While we've never had a bad meal served to us here, the service can be anything from ok to incredibly slow to completely useless as dishes come out at random...
