I have found making payments via internet is very expensive with Standard Bankas as opposed to Capitec and other banks. Capitec charges R1.50 per transaction as Standard Bank charges R18.30 per transaction.Has anyone else evre experienced that also ??? (read more)

i was introduced to cellphone banking on the 15/04/2012.i was asked for a csp number which i did enter when i tried accessing it the next day they told me that the number that i entered was incorrect now tell me where does the problem lie with me or the bank.i know exactly the number that i have been using and now they tell me that it is incorrect please help me to access my number or i would have to cancel my banking with you guys.thanking you kindly.i would have liked if you guys gave me... Have been trying since Friday 24th June to access internet banking to no avail and nobody able to assisst or furnish reason as to why I cannot access internet banking let alone my account as I am in Saudi Arabia with no branch of Standard Bank available to complain to and transactions that need urgent attention. Easy to use.
Uptime better than most of the other banks.
Quality service when sending in queries.
Site is much quicker and more efficient than others.
I have no problems whatsoever if I have to use the help line.

Best internet banking webite I've ever used. Some problems logging in from 2am to 3am when they do their server maintenance, but apart from that, easy to use and no problems at all. Highly recommended. (read more)

Internet banking/Telephone banking what's the use? When it all goes wrong what you need is someone to help you. I have been trying to get someone to e-mail a reply to my question for 4 days now. Even the Complaints Resolution Centre does not reply. Let's face facts. Bad service is better than no service. I still cannot access my money. Shame on you Standard Bank. (read more)

The Directors Standard Bank SA
It is with much disappointment that I write to you. I have an account at Tongaat viz Current Account and Home Loan. I made a claim aginst my home owners policy about six months ago. As there were constraints to my stay in SA in August I received permission to repair my house at my cost with a guarantee that i will be re-imbursed timeously. This did not happen as emplyees at the claims centre either lost the documents, didn't know anything or were on sick leave.... (read more)

General security when using internet banking has improved over the years and that gives me as a client confidence in the system. Banking has become as easy as buying bread at the coner store. It is still a glitch during pick hours and and busy days as the system is either available or slow at the time that u neeed it most. (read more)

All of a sudden I can't do payments I not over my limit. I phoned the Standard Bank Internet Banking help desk 4 times and spend over 20 minutes from my cell phone that cost me alot of money. And all the people I spoke kept on giving settings to change which still didn't help. Im still awaiting for someone to call me back. (read more)

I have recently had my computer's memory replaced and upgraded so no longer have a bookmard page on Mazilla Fox for going straight to the login page for the standard bank internet banking so I have to start from scratch. With Google there are umpteen pages about what you can do with the Standard Bank but none leads anywhere towards logging on - very very user unfriendly.

Internet banking makes my life easier, because I can manage my account & transfer money from wherever in the world.
It is so frustrating & inconveniencing to try and log on to internet banking and only to find that it's not available at times, just like now.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with Standard Bank South Africa. I am presently visiting family in Boston, United States of America. After initially registering for internet banking before leaving South Africa, it has taken me two weeks to log on. I have been having problems logging to internet banking since Standard Bank introduced the one time password, I put my email address but in order for me to view it i have to log off, then log in again and they send me another email, when i alter the method to SMS i don't receive any text, probably because i'm abroad, please advise. Standard Bank is absolutely the worst internet banking site available. Slow (if not impossible) to connect. Unfriendly and confusing layout. Unable to save at least the bank card number on my computer for next use. Every time I log on, it's a chore to pull out my bank card, type in all 18 digits and then 2 different PIN codes. Some days it would actually be faster to wait in those long queues than attempt this internet headache. (read more)
