Had this cooker for nearly four years and luckily had the sense to take out extended cover on second set of tacky plastic knobs and all four rings seem to have one setting which is take forever to heat up but then just boil it does not seem to understand simmer. This was my second stoves oven and I am sorry I replaced the first one the only problem I had was the gold transfers identifying which ring you where choosing had worn away. Stoves seem to think they can trade on their good name of the… Read Full Review

I have recently purchased a Stoves cooker as it ticked all the boxes and made in the UK, but unfortunately the good have now been out weighed by the bad . The problem I have is with the knobs, when you have both ovens on the knobs become so hot you need to use oven gloves to turn the hob knobs on. I contacted Stoves, who duly sent out an engineer, all he said was the cooker complies to EU regs. I have now emailed Stoves now on 3 occasions complaining of the design fault without any… Read Full Review

To be fair, the Stoves free-standing cooker was included when we bought the house. However, it was in perfect condition as it was almost new then, part of a full and fairly expensive kitchen refurbishment completed to sell the house. The control knobs are poor quality plastic and after a year half are broken. Replacements cost over £7 each! The cooker surface scratches very easily, and the top oven has stopped working. Apart from that.....! Unfortunately I can't think of many… Read Full Review

I have owned several Stoves Ovens in the past. Our latest purchase was the Electric Stoves 61 ehdo. This was not a cheap oven by any means however I was happy to pay the premium in a trusted name like Stoves. All my previous ovens were excellent but sadly this model falls far short in terms of quality, reliability and performance. As other reviewers have stated the knobs do indeed all break and crack within the first 12 months. The glass top cooking surface of the oven scratches very easily… Read Full Review

I have a Stoves model 61GDO and although it is not the same model as the other reviews they all share the same problem as I do THE RUBBISH KNOBS. For a cooker that is as expensive as these models are the knobs are appalling and as I said to their customer services if I continue to replace the knobs at the present rate at around £40 a time in 6 years I could have bought a new cooker. TIME TO LOOK AT THE DESIGN, STOVES, as we can't all be wrong. I will say that when I complained by e.mail they… Read Full Review

My Stoves gas oven is less than 2 years old and I hate it.
The useless 'foil' coating on all the knobs has come off, revealing the plastic underneath, which in turn has even melted to a bubbly blob on one and cracked clean in half on another!
I contacted Stoves to tell them how appalled I am with my purchase and even sent them pictures of the ruined control knobs...they just said I could buy new ones for £7 each!!
Why should I pay out £42 just for them to go the same way?… Read Full Review

Rubbish build quality and not what you would expect from stoves!… Read Full Review

We have owned this cooker for just over a year and the built quality is appauling. The control knobs are now splitting and becoming useless at the rate of one a week. Please do not buy this cooker find one with sturdy metal compotents.
The grill tray distorts when hot! great idea what else do you expect it to do. I cannot wait to replace this and i will certainly not be buying from this manufacturer again… Read Full Review
