Good Points: A wider than average seat and it comes with a separate pad which has a suede finish on one side - great for new babies. Fantastic hood that comes right down to the seat unit. Great rain cover and adjustable handles
Bad Points: Quite long in length, struggle to get it into the boot of my Corsa (and husband still can't do it) Have scuffed all the handles trying to get it in! Quite heavy to push as child gets older. Does not look great.
General comments: Maclaren Techno XT Umbrella Stroller - We have a MUTSY Urban Rider as our main buggy which we had from the birth of our baby and we love it but it's quite heavy for those short trips and holidays. We had a M&P Aria which broke within 8 months so wanted to get something decent. Spent £165 on this but not sure it is worth the money. Good for a main buggy but if you want something light and easy to use on quick trips, may not be suitable.

I shopped around for ages for the perfect buggy for my little one. I wanted a quinny or something really good looking but when trying them out they were very ordinary. Then I was shown the Techno XT posibly one of the ugliest pushchairs she brought out in that the colours were grey and boring. However it does everything you need for a very reasonable price. My best friend bought a quinny and wants to borrow mine for holidays! The hood comes in handier than you'd think and the handles raise for t ...

I love this stroller. It is very sturdy for an umbrella stroller & the wheels are a bit bigger so it can handle a little bit of off roading. The hood is a god send. It unzips so it can block the sun getting into your little one's eyes. My daughter loves her sleep but would never sleep in a buggy so I always had to be at home for her nap but now I can put down the hood & she will go to sleep no problem. The buggy is nice & easy to take apart to wash too.The only fault I can think of with thi ...

The Maclaren Techno XT Umbrella Stroller is OK, but it is a bit pricey for an uncomfortable rickety buggy.

We switched to the Maclaren Techno XT - Storm Umbrella Stroller after having problems with a Graco Mosaic Travel System. Straight away it was easy to use, and you can take just about everything off to wash it, which is great when you have a sicky baby. Our baby seems to find it comfy, it is lightweight, very easy to steer and can easily be laid back for a sleeping child. Another bonus is that the rain cover easily clips on to four little nodules. However, if your baby's legs are longer than the ...

A brill buggy but if you are looking for something out of the ordinary or funky this is not the buggy for you. I'm still looking for a better buggy. This seems to offer everything you need even with it's flaws.

Really good value buggy that can be used from birth. Folds down easily and compactly. Definitely the best out of all the buggies I tested before buying. Strips down easily and fabric withstands being chucked in the machine regularly. Definitely recommended.

As a childminder I have used Maclaren prams for the past 25yrs. I would recommend them to anyone. Maclaren are not the cheapest pram you get good value for money. As a childminder I have also got the twin side by side and that is a bonus because it does not matter what age children are in it, it pushes great. I Would advise anyone who does a lot of walking to get one. Even second hand they are in good condition.

We brought our Maclaren Techno XT when I decided our big bulky pram was too heavy to push (with lots of shopping) and very heavy to lift into the boot of my car when our Daughter was about 3 months old. I must say this is one of the best buys we have brought. The adjustable handle height was great for my 6" 4 husband and I liked the lay flat position so my daughter felt she was flat like she would be in her cot which was a god send when we were on holiday as she would sleep anywhere even thoug ...

Maclaren Techno XT - I brought a Maclaren because I knew they were reliable. I had a daytripper with my 1st son. This one I thought was great as it could be used from birth and would save me having to have a hefty pram. I also have a people carrier and needed something to fit in the limited boot space when all seats are up. I think it's a cool buggy and has everything you would want in one. The only problem I have noticed is although the seat is padded, the frame that runs along the spine of the ...

The Maclaren Techno XT wasn't the first pushcair that I plumped for. Being sucked in to the 'buy the best, biggest and most expensive' for our first baby I purchased a mamas and papas travel system three wheeler and to be honest 6 months in I can no longer stand the heaviness, it's hard to push, the wheels keep going flat, it's so heavy I find it difficult getting it in and out of the house and car.
After a lot of research I purchased the Maclaren Techno XT 2005 model, which looks great, can ...

We have owned this Maclaren Techno XT stroller for less than 6 months, and the front wheel assembly cracked and broke off while strolling along. Fortunately the stroller did not tip over. The wheels also have worn badly and have little holes in them. Given the premium price paid for this stroller, I do not think this stroller is a good buy. PS, Customer support is non existent.

Maclaren Techno XT Pushchairs - I have 2 children, my daughter is now 3 and my son has just turned one and I have been through so many buggies, prams, pushchairs and car seats I've lost count (you'd think I'd have learnt what not to buy!). When my son was born we bought a Graco Sterling travel system with car seat and autobase and I just couldn't get on with it, we live in a second floor flat and it was a real nightmare (so heavy). So, taking our lifestyle into consideration we decided we needed ...
