    Great product the liberator cat collar. Our cat used to catch birds on a daily basis, two bells reduced her success to one or two a week, but this cuts her down to less than one a month!... except during the fledgling season, when we keep her up anyway.

    Recommended+++

    And yes, it does go off at other times, but the cat soon gets used to it, and it tells us when she is around.. or where she is around when we need her.

    I have just bought one of these Liberator collars (probably too late to save the sparrows nest in my neighbour's roof) and found that it is unpredicatable in its function. It lights up and emits a noise only fitfully, which is of hardly any use at all. I have heard that the thing to get is a CatAlert collar - more expensive at £19.99, but hopefully more effective!

    In my search for an effective bird alert collar I read that someone had heard of a collar accessory sonic deterrent capable ...

    There must be a better product, even a bell is better I think. Not recommended at all, am in the process of obtaining a refund.

    Extremely pleased with this purchase. Our cat has stopped killing native fauna since we put the Liberator Cat Collar on him. The only side effect is that the cat tends to scratch around the neck sometimes, and also, he has cut back on his prowls, but it has saved many many other creatures. Highly recommended.

    We have used the Liberator Cat Collar bleepers for several years, during the spring and summer months. We also attach ID tags and two bells to the collars, but the bleeper really increases the effectiveness of the two bells.

    She was more or less bringing a bird every day in summer time. Heartbreaking was a wren, a robin and two bluetits in a single morning.

    The Liberator cat collar dramatically reduced the carnage, as that summer she managed one bird a week if lucky. Mice however continued to be on the menu. Sadly, for us, she also succumbed to a larger predator: a four wheeled one.

    Smedor is right. The Liberator Cat Collar emits beeps while the cat is going about its normal activities. It may beep when the cat pounces on a bird, I don't know, but my cat killed four birds this week while wearing it, so whatever it's doing doesn't work.

    The Liberator cat collar is a great collar. Since my killer cat is wearing it, she no longer catches birds. That is the whole point of it.. to save the birds in the garden. It is true that the collar also emits the bleep in the house. However, with our collar it only does it when the cat is jumping around a lot. After a while one doesn't hear it anymore. It also is reassuring that the cat is around. She sleeps in our bed and the bleep doesn't wake us up when she jumps in, and once the cat is set ...

    The Liberator Cat Collar emits a beep and lights up all of the time - with the slightest movement or even when the cat is sitting still!

    I have tried to send a message to the company using their web site, but the web / email page returns an error code when attempting to send them a message.

    The collar is a rip-off - I wouldn't waste your time or your money!
