Sharp UX-BD80 Plain Paper Inkjet Fax - Main problem, we left the handset outside and it got wet. Could not get a replacement from sharp, and were directed to a company in Uxbridge. Handset replacement was more than the machine! Contacted sharp who did not seem interested. Will be changing machine a s a p. (read more)

At first glance a nice little machine - easy to use - but if the handset is going to give problems - this makes the whole product redundant and not fit for purpose. (read more)

I am usually a pretty canny buyer, but this one is a turkey and after less than 9 months I am now getting rid of it. If you only get only 1-2 faxes a month and the ink cartridge dries out over three months then you are not likely to get good value for money; it would not matter if cartridges were reasonably priced but even the reconditioned cartridges are quite expensive.
On top of this the paper feed is erratic and fussy about paper quality; the phone and answerphone are adequate though... (read more)
