    Good Points: Friendly, talkative, beautiful ticked coat


    Bad Points: Bring dead prey home. Bring live prey home. Will probably have your pet rat for breakfast.


    General comments: I am now on my second Abyssinian Cat, having first encountered these delightful creatures on holiday in Switzerland and fallen in love at first sight. They have the bright intelligence of foreign breeds with a short ticked coat which comes in a variety of colours. Usuals are brown ticked with black, my current Aby is a silver sorrel; blond bombshell ticked with red. Abys may be small, but they are the big game hunters of the cat world - squirrels and rabbits beware! When not out hunting they enjoy human company and do not like being ignored. These are cats that have all the good points of domesticity (cuddly, soft) while retaining the survival attributes of their wild ancestors.
