This is really a pretty poor piece of gear. It quite often freezes up and needs to be unplugged at the wall to restart. Very annoying when you come home to find it frozen instead of having recorded the program you'd set it for. On quite a lot of occasions it simply loses the downloaded EPG TV Guide and there's no way to refresh it manually and you just have to wait till the next overnight refresh. This Philips DVDR7260H DVD Recorder is a replacement. John Lewis replaced the first because it failed after 1-2 weeks and would not restart (so I lost all the recorded material)
This one has now operated for about a year, but after a certain amount of use - it seems to depend on how much you've done with it rather than just time - it "crashes". Locks/freezes in standby mode. Fails to respond until disconnected and reconnected to the mains.
Very slow to respond to commands when working. This is our second DVDR7260H DVD Recorder as Philips agreed to replace the original faulty one!
