Good Points: More of an eating plan rather than a diet.
Bad Points: None really.
General comments: Rick Gallop's Living the GI Diet has got to be one of the easiest diets to follow. There is no weighing and measuring and there are simple rules to follow. You are given a chart for green, red, and yellow GI foods, and as long as you stick within the green and occasionally the yellow then you are sticking to the diet.
It even helps you for planning to eat out and what to pick in which type of restaurant. Such as stick to tomato based pasta dishes in an Italian and stay away from the cream and more rich sauces.
It is easy to follow on a day-to-day basis and is easier to deal with when you work full-time and don't have a great deal of time to spend the night cooking for the next week's meals.
This is a plan for life - I am on this diet for health reasons, and find it one of the best diets I have done so far. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight, without the hassle of weights, measures and minimum portions.

Rick Gallop, Living the GI Diet is very helpful! - It helps you to understand how the diet works, it includes all the foods to avoid, foods to eat occassionly and foods to eat as much as you want, meal plans etc and loads of other stuff. I would recommend this book to all GI newcomers! (check out ebay for a good price & aim to get the fully updated book as it has more things in it)
Good luck with your diet! = )- Read Beauty is deep within's review (81 words and 1 comment)

Rick Gallop, Living the GI Diet - This is one of a range of new diets designed to be easy to follow and maintain in the long term. The premise is that you can use this diet to reduce your intake of unhealthy sugars and refined carbohydrates by replacing them with healthier alternatives. Each food is assigned a rating on the Glycemic Index, which means that it tells you how quickly your body absorbs and processes it. Sugars are absorbed quickly so when you eat sugary foods or white bread, past ...- Read Charnelmind The Smart's review (178 words)
