    Good Points: Easy to install.
    Expandable.
    Very reliable.
    Self monitoring.
    Cheap.
    Very easy to use.


    Bad Points: Expensive from some retailers.
    Looks slightly dated.


    General comments: I have had a BT VP1000 for approx 3yrs now. Very easy to install, basically plug in the VP1000 to the mains set up a online account then install each sensor. This takes the time as you have to fix each one to the wall. I would suggest screwing the PIRs rather than the adhesive supplied. The range is good as a PIR sensor works in a out building many metres away. In the 3yrs+ I haven't had one false alarm and have added extra sensors including a smoke detector.

    Overall I think this BT Home Monitor VP1000 is a very good piece of Kit. It is one I would recommend. There is lots of Data/Info to go through, though the quick install helps.
