Way too expensive. I bought via DIGISALE.NET for £75
This is the 2012 version of it. I am a student but needed the full version without watermark etc so this was the way to go without spending over £5000 for the privilege!! (read more)

I use AutoCAD for my work on a daily basis, although I wouldn't say I'm an expert as I only use the relatively basic commands, enough to draw most things in 2D. I therefore can't review the more complex aspects of AutoCAD but I think I'm in a position to give a considered opinion.

Starting out with AutoCAD LT 2007 was a bit of a shock having been used to the 2005 release. The graphical interface is a lot more flashy, with updated symbols and toolbars, and drawing lines are highlighted when... (read more)

I have used LT since 95 but decided to stop upgrading after LT 2004. Like Matt I just use the basic functions and did not find any real benefit in the last 2 upgrades despite the fairly hefty cost and learning curve. If a significant change affected compatibility with clients I would now have to replace rather than upgrade and I would consider one of the less expensive but promising clones I tried briefly.
