    16 months ago I reluctantly spent over £5000 having new doors and shelves on 3 existing fitted wardrobes and 1 wardrobe built from scratch by Hammonds. This didn't even include backing panels, as with them it would have been over £7000! The lady that came to design the cupboards was very polite and friendly, although it did take an entire afternoon to do. The architect comes some weeks later to ensure measurements are correct. Ours were not and had to be ammended. The installer was very good and worked solidly for 3 days to get the job finished. Whilst I was pleased with the look of the furniture, I still feel it was not worth the amount it cost. Recently I noticed that one of the drawers had dropped slightly (possibly off the runner) and when I contacted Hammonds I was told that it was just past the 1 year guarentee and therefore it was my responsibility to get it fixed. According to customer services, if I pursue this matter with their Head Office, I will receive the same response! Hammonds are extremely expensive and therefore you expect their furniture to be of good quality (certainly not to begin falling apart only 16 months later). I would not recommend this company to anyone as their products do not meet the quality you would expect for the cost.

    I applied for a catalogue to get some ideas whilst planning a home refurbishment. Before it had even arrived, I received many calls from an unknown number, before eventually picking up. I was given the spiel about being in the area, and without asking if I wanted them round, they said do you want sunday or tuesday? I was caught on the hop and ended up agreeing to tuesday.     We were looking to buy one of their wardrobes with the sliding doors as they look beautiful. I'm always a bit wary of shops which refuse to give you the price of things up front, but they offer an advisor to come and measure up for free etc, etc, so fine, we went for that.     after requesting a brochure from hammonds i immediately recieved phone calls, i booked a design vist on the 3rd phone call. These calls were a bit annoying but when the designer arrived she was lovely and did a great job, as did the fitters and the whole customer services team! thanks guys!

    I would never use Hammonds again! Extremely poor customer service. When I wanted to cancel my order I was asked to phone at least 5 different person. If you want to have fitted furniture try Neville Johnson. Contacting Hammonds is the worst decision that I have ever made.

    We have recently had a bedroom and home office fitted by Hammonds and are completely over the moon with the end result. The designers gave us some great ideas and the fitters we superb, leaving the house spotlessly clean. We can't recommended them enough !

    We have wardrobes from Hammonds built in by a developer and when we try to order add-ons to the existing walk-in closets, we never seem to be able to get anyone in Hammonds to help, despite show room visits and unlimited phone calls to their customer service.

    I would never use Hammopnds again. The Surveyor left space for an exising power point to be installed inside a wardrobe. Dangerous ? My electrician moved the power point out of the way. The hammonds fitter installed the wardrobes off center of the room although there was no longer a need to do so. Hammonds deny any responsibility.

    Placed an order for a fitted office, the desk height to be the same as the widow cill height in the room, which the salesman agreed, and drew the impression of how it would look. We liked what we saw and placed our order. His drawing clearly showed the desk height following that of the cill.

    A couple of weeks later the tech guy came and measure up and printed off a computer drawing, with all the specs. The desk height was not marked on the drawing, which I did not notice at the time as I assume ...

    I was first measured for my furniture in August. It is now Dec and for the 3rd time the fitter hasn't turned up to finish the job and for the 2nd time no one bothered to tell me he wasn't coming.
    I've had so many problems with this company that in spite of good quality cupboards I couldn't possibly recommended them
