“Review after delivery on everything ”

I wasn't told about an extra charge for Saturday delivery. In store they ask you how to rate their service saying they don't get commission but if you rate them 5 star they get a bonus. When delivered also told about a £250 bonus, delivery man talked the talk. I have loose threads on sofa which they said they'd report but didn't. It means I have to now report myself. “Not customer focused, no staff training”

I bought a beautiful sofa back in May of this year. It arrived quickly and by June I was enjoying my new sofa at home. Unfortunately on the delivery date I noticed one cushion has a blood like stain on one side, about the size of a bank note. “No Customer Focus and no ability to manage complaints ”

All started so well with a lovely showroom in Slough, the perfect set of tables we wanted and most critical was a promise to deliver within 3 weeks from the order date, provided we collected from the store. Solihull Sears retail park used 11 weeks ago to buy sofa. Pushy sales guy rushed told that option for back cushion sofa fine and then later said can't do that. So had change sofa. Picked another sofa told that could get in my flat and was told sofa spilts in two pieces. As foundout it doesn't spilt and can't be delivered. Now I'm left with a bill. “Fabric rippling on seat and arm of sofa”

After 18 months fabric was rippling on one seat of sofa. First technician said the cause was due to my husbands bodily fluids, as male sweat is different to that of females. I complained about this excuse and was Subsequently told the fabric is not covered on warranty but As a goodwill gesture they would fit a new cover. “Shocking treatment ”

Do not purchase a suite from sofology Edinburgh. I was not informed how high maintenance my suite was. Complained as cushiond were sagging. Only had suite for 2 months. Sorry but in my experience , the warranty from Castelan and the claims process start to finish was 1st rate. I claimed under a significant area of damage due to a single accidental mishap. I.e. I fell into back of leather sofa causing a 18 inch long and 1cm wide deep 'graze' in the leather. Clear claim process and kept informed at each juncture. Initial repair not acceptable. This wasn't an issue - just emailed pics and left it with them. An offer of money or whole panel replacement repair was made. I opted for the panel, but the manufacturer could not batch colour match the panel, so I was offered a cash out sum, or a lower sum and retain balance of warranty ( 1 yr) or a credit note for original full purchase cost to use against a new sofa at Sofology. So no brainier --- credit note please for £1699.00 !! Warranty cost me £350 ... I had had sofa for 4 years and used it daily and I got to keep original sofa ....sold on for £200. So in reality I got £1699 + £200.
If anyone can tell me how this is rubbish , I'll eat my hat, yours and do an Irish jig on the back of my shiny new sofas .....whilst wearing a new hat.
The entire process was of little effort. They kept me well informed, gave clear instructions as to what was expected of me during the claims process and also gave me choices by way of redress and solution at every suitable point in the claim process. If you try to have them off , they'll know and jog you on. If you try to exaggerate a claim they'll know and you'll get nowt. If you lie in any way shape or form , you will eventually slip up - they will throw the claim out , cancel your warranty without any costs refunded and may even take you to court.
So if your on the level and suffer a genuine accident then you'll find they are worth their weight in gold. 5 yrs cover costing less than a monkey, for a sofa likely costing at least a couple of bags. The peace of mind is worth 10x that and more. If like me your on a limited income, ext warranties give you the safety net of free repairs and or replacement products. Products that I could neither afford to repair or replace myself within the ext warranty period- if ever. I can prove all that I claim and I am prepared to do so if asked. I'd recommend Castelan a cover to everyone and their uncles dog too!!

Hi I thought I had to share my experience I have had with this awful company . I had purchased a new Sensation 3 seated sofa and armchair costing just under £1900 cash . It arrived damaged . Foam on both pieces were heavily dented and scratches to the fabric in numerous places on both items . My armchair still has the imprints of the bubble wrap all over the front . If you are reading this review this is to have your attention on sofology Insignia range. This is one of the top sofa they are selling with price tag of £1599 for a 3 seater. This sofa has an old style of recliner which leaves a gap for a tennis ball to get in when fully reclined and caused my son hurt his elbow to sharp corner beneath the gap. Recently purchased a sofa which costs £4100. Had it less than 2 months and bottom cushions gone completely flat. Technician had been now just over 2 weeks ago and still no response. Spoke with the manager of the Cardiff branch which has promised me she will get back to me at the end of the day. That was 4 days ago now. Phoned her and she says the same thing everyday. “Sell you a useless warranty”

I purchased a sofa, cuddle chair and footstools on 5/12/2015. Delivered 10/2/2016 Saleswoman was very nice but told me I could buy the 5 year warranty which would cover absolutely anything that could go wrong. How wrong was she? Oh my word. I bought a suite from soafoligy 1 and a half years ago. I bought the belfrie and all the warrenty. I'm getting a new one now and was just looking at the Karma suite but having read some of these reviews i think i will look elsewhere

Sofa arrived, in a few days unhappy with the build quality. Terrible wrinkling of the back of the sofa. Engineer was booked and was told they would sort it. Engineer came 3 weeks later and was expecting to replace broken button. Told me nothing he could do, and it just happens. Sofology promised to ring, and didn't. Finally they did.
