“Leather peeling off once again ”

After a few weeks the leather started peeling off they came and spray painted it? Never heard of painting leather. Now once again it started to come off. Tried to phone and was on hold for 45 mins then it said they were closed. Tried again next day and same again so not only have I lost 2 hours wages also the cost of the phone call and haven't spoke to any one so I e mailed, have they responded No . Dreadful, just 6 weeks after having this suite all the leather started to come of the piping, they have been twice since to touch it up with some type of paint. Just been for the 3rd time this morning (service manager) admitted there are others experiencing the same problem (which we have on tape)but I know when he returns to the office they will say its abrasion they have already tried that one. Sofas Delivered Nov 2013. 3 seater and 4 seater Canterbury. 4 seater has had to repaired due to arm creaking. paid extra for foam cushions and they are really soft on the 4 seater. Told by technician they are designed to avoid fluffing not firmness. 4 seater marked the back of the wall only in the centre due to the amount of flex. been told that the sofa shouldn't be against the wall and its my fault. Appalling after sales - delivered all the parts of our order damaged and refused to replace in its entirety and just offered part replacement for a suede fabric sofa - waited 14 weeks for delivery after a mix up with the stock - they had part of the order in but lot all of it, which they told us it was all I stock at point of sale, but it wasn't but they continued to inform us delivery would be within 10 days so we sold our old sofas and then we're told there was a mistake the day before the… Read Full Review

After paying nearly £3000 for a lovely leather corner couch, I wish I had never bothered. Service was disgusting, waited over 4 months for delivery, the corner section is at a different level to the rest of the couch, sags, leather is wrinkly. After ringing csl repeatedly and 2 visits from them, paying for the call out, the matter still hasnt been resolved. I have written, emailed, sent photos an had no response. Had a Napier corner suite delivered in December 2013. It arrived with 2 rips to the back of the sofa which we initially missed on delivery. Phoned up the day after and customer services said they would send out an 'engineer' about a week later. The morning he was due to come, we received a phonecall off him to say he couldnt make it. In December, 2010, I purchased a Quebec suite comprising a 3 seater, 2 seater and single seater all in leather, all manual recliners. We bought a 3+ 2 sofa and after few months 3 seater cushion feel like 2 years older we also paid for insurance to them so we called cls to look into this they asked for additional money for visit which we paid but after visiting they refused to repair or replacement said that this is normal wear and tear whereas it was definitely faculty product as it's seat and cushion gone down. Bought an Evoque sofa and swivel chair from this company and what an absolute waste of money. Within 8 months we had to replace the cushions as they seemed to deflate faster than a balloon and the seat cushions we've had to actually go and purchase some stuffing in order to have a seat that doesn't have a gaping hole in the middle. Was worried buying a sofa as DFS and similar companies have always sold rubbish that falls apart within a couple of months and then you have to fight for a refund. Bought corner sofa from these conmen all was fine till deliverd wrong sofa. Wait over an hour to talk to someone while being left on hold. “Poor quality and terrible customer service”

We bought a corner sofa that cost almost £2000. When we first sat on it we noticed it dips in parts and is very uncomfortable to sit on. We rang customer services and they sent someone to look at it. Their verdict was it had no fault so are refusing to do anything. The soft parts that dip are due to no support between the seats. We bought a sofa from CSL plus paid the extra £200 for the aftercare cleaning as the staff told us how excellent it was when you have kids and that if anything was spilt on it that the cleaner would clean it straight away. Bought an osbourne sofa christmas 2012. Started falling in bits March 2014. The "leather" is peeling apart on the back pad leaving a light brown patch. The reclining mechanism creaks and groans constantly and it's generally looking tired despite getting little use. Contacted their customer service dept. and after 3 weeks finally got a response. Absolutely the same happening to us with the leather after less than a year. Also the seats have "settled" so far we are almost sitting on the floor. An engineer called, agreed with everything we complained of, then left and wrote a report to the company to say absolutely nothing was wrong. We had previously had an independent engineer visit who did agree with our complaints.
We have hounded their customer services department so much they have now offered us a reselection of a new suite although I would have preferred a full refund.
Now talking with Furniture Ombudsman to ensure my basic rights are not compromised if I accept their offer of a new and different suite.
