“Horrendous customer service!”

If I could give no stars I would.I ordered 2 hanging wall baskets, however the 2 items delivered were 2 patio heaters each weighing over 9kg. I emailed them to arrange a collection from the address these were DELIVERED to,not the billing address. All you get is an automatic response advising that they will respond within 24 hours. When they eventually responded several days later they confirmed the date of the pick up. However they sent the courier to the billing address & not the DELIVERY address. More emails were sent to correct, courier was sent to the correct address,but were instructed to collect only ONE item! Even more emails ( when they could be bothered to reply). Courier arrived yet again at the billing address. Another set of emails, no reply other than the auto response " 24 Hours " and they will reply. Well they didn't, so made a phone call, very nice lady told her everything and SHE arranged the correct collection. Meanwhile eventually get a response (by email) from the "customer services" advising us to reorder the correct items ,request next day de!ivery and to let them know and they will refund the cost of the delivery. Duly sent email 30th April advising them and requesting refund ( I HAD been charged for next day delivery), got the auto 24hours to respond email - NOTHING. Sent a chased email 4th May NO RESPONSE and NO REFUND (to date 9th May). Customer Service for this company and any related company is appalling and None Existent.

“No Flexibilty, do not order”

Do not use this company! I ordered something for my elderly mum and found within 5 minutes that she had asked another family member to order so within 10 mins of ordering, I tried to cancel! They said it was too late and the order had gone - the company stink and have no flexibility. They send mounds of junk mail/catalogues once they have your details and the live chat advisor cut me off when I complained.

“Quality goods ”

House of bath sell quality goods I've had 4) Egyptian cotton sheets 750 thread lovely. Recently purchased a football leather wallet was excellent value for money! Only problem is they use Hermes to deliver your goods. Good luck!!

“customer services nonexistant”

I ordered a small item for my hall. This never arrived. On parcel tracking courier company wrote"could not deliver due to access problems". Didn't know what this meant as never had a problem before - either with company or courier. When I contacted company (as courier said could not comment to customer) they sent me a form to fill in re missing item (I felt they were accusing me of theft). Form filled in and had to put on a stamp AND mentioned comment by courier. Money refunded but still no response regarding courier comment. I wrote again to ask about courier comment - did not want to order again if same thing was going to happen. Still no reply to this question. Just keep getting different customer service rep's responding - and not answering the question - and not able to respond to customer service email as any replies are sent to a different customer rep. The right and left hand working independently. Mean while I was stockpiling catalogues. and when I asked them to desist until my query was answered, I received a response asking if I wished to close my account!! Yes, I said, close it and do not send any more catalogues, if you can't be bother to answer a simple question. An e mail today (number 8 I think) saying they had contacted courier and they were unable to give a reason to my query because it happened in September 2017!!!! So why didn't they ask the courier company earlier when I pointed it out to them USELESS

“I ordered two hot water bottle covers which were a...”

I ordered two hot water bottle covers which were a gift, delivered to someone else. My friend got in touch to ask if I had meant to send her a pair of old men's shoes. It was rather embarrassing that they screwed up the order. She said the box was all battered and tatty and clearly the wrong item. When I tried calling House of Bath, no one picked up the phone, I emailed them and no one replied, I filled out their online form and again no response. Surely they can't make this many mistakes? I'd advise anyone with similar experiences to report it to trading standards.  Hopefully we will save others from this.

“Appalling lack of communication ”

I ordered 2 identical items on 26/09/17. Only one arrived. I telephoned (at 13p per minute) and was told tat there had been a problem with the delivery but that the order for the second item was cancelled. I have still not been credited with this amount nd am now asked to give proof of non- delivery! Moreover, I have had no response to my frequent correspondence. The email address is hard to find nad clearly unused. I am not prepared to spend time on the telephone at premium rates!

“Disgusting service after a Bereavement. ”

My mother ordered a table from house of bath,we received an email on 9th Oct asking for us to arrange a delivery date however,my mother passed away suddenly on the 11th Oct. I emailed Arrow the delivery company and explained the situation requesting the table be delivered to my address as we had 3 weeks to clear my mum's flat out. Arrow replied asking me to get in touch with house of bath. I called house of bath spoke to a lady,she said she would authorise the change of address no problem. This was on the 17th Oct. I emailed Arrow with this update they replied they would await house of bath's instructions. As I hadn't heard anything I called house of bath 23rd Oct only to be told the order had been cancelled and a refund had been made to my mothers bank account. I said my mothers bank account had been closed due to her passing. I asked to speak to a manager and was promised a call back on the same day,I am still waiting !!!. I did not receive any call or acknowledgement from the house of bath regarding their decision to refund the money and had I have not called them again chasing this matter I still would not know what was going on. At this very difficult time of arranging my mum's funeral and dealing with the grief of losing her this is the last thing I should be doing. House of bath have shown no compassion and their customer service is non existent. I am disgusted by the whole sorry mess.if I could give less than one star rating I would have.

“Never again ever”

Made order by post with cheque.Received letter requesting me to reorder and make second payment of same amount before order can be processed,What is that about.? I expect it will be wishful thinking to expect a refund as I have now cancelled my order.No doubt of course the amount has already been debited from my account.Time will tell if I manage to receive a refund.,

“Worst customer service ever on returned item & refund”

Will never buy from these again Bought a electric fire & it was faulty Called them and was asked to send it back & would get refund in 21 days -over 50 days later, no refund and when I call I get a stupid automated thing at 33 pence a minute which will eventually and after about 5mins &£1.75 later get you in touch with a human . They then tell you they can't find the order even although all details were emailed to them with invoice copy twice. Was asked to email details again and was assured of the refund which I am still waiting for. What a poor outfit to deal with - went to Currys & got a fire and will never use HOB again. Stay well away from these people

“Worst site ever!!!”

This site is dreadful, it is deliberately set up to make contact through e-mail impossible. I refuse to pay them to talk to me when the call is being paid for by me in the first place. I am (was) a new customer due for a 20% discount. With great difficulty I managed to find the items I wanted (not the same as the catalogue) spending a few pence under £90. When entering my final details I put in the code for free delivery which came with the catalogue. Up came you cannot have two coded items. It then proceeded to make me pay full price and take of just the postage! Now I'm not stupid, I wasn't having that so tried to backtrack, site then said I had run out of time and closed down. Later I tried to order once more but because they had all my details they reckon (even though I have never completed an order or received anything) that now I am not a new customer. Too right and now I never will be.

“DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!”

I ordered a 15 tog Egyptian Cotton Duvet (£47.20). What I received was not the item I ordered and certainly not the item in the image on their website. It was a cheap duvet in a plastic bag with 'Hollow fibre duvet' on the side. No reference to any tog rating was on the packaging, a complete swizz! Then the fun started....attemting to contact 'customer service'. Please be aware that this company charge you 13p per minute (plus your network charge) for the priviledge of speaking to them. Instead, I sent them a total of 14 emails. Some of which I received a reply which was nothing more than a blank white email. They eventually collected it but no refund has ever materialised. Believe me - NOTHING is worth the hassle of buying from here. Do yourself a favour, whatever you're thinking of buying, source it from elsewhere. I wish I'd read these reviews beforehand, it's a bad operation and quite possibly the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Consider yourself warned!!!

“Bath mats”

November 2016 ordered a set bath mats pedestal mats and towels all in same colour pedestal mats and towels arrived Beth mats out of stock delivery 2-3 weeks. Ok can wait that long. Letters arrived December &January(2017) still a delay. Now informed it would be mid February 2017 is this the longest waiting time for goods that are still be touted in their catalogues. Paid for and other items been washed but WANT to complete my set. Will never buy from them again so one good customer list for ever.

“worst customer service I have encountered.”

Ordered a shoe rack from here. Got an email confirming delivery however never received it. Called House of Bath and they said there was an issue with their courier Hermes and that they would refund and I should call again next day to reorder.Called next day item sold out. Spoke to the manager that day and she was "over the moon" excited about how she had personally spoken to their warehouse manager and he was 100% confident they would send out the storage unit the second it hit their warehouse, directly to the customer again. Now been 5 days- still not received anything.Spent my morning speaking with FIVE different customer service reps- item hit the warehouse and was sent back to House of Bath. Cannot guarantee it wont be resold. Never have I come across a more incompetent group of people in my life.

“Very often Out of Stock”

Used this company on three occasions and twice the items have not arrived after the normal delivery time. On phoning, I was informed 'the item is out of stock and a delivery date some time away is promised which does not mean anything. Cheque has been cashed and no advice sent to me saying the item was not available for immediate delivery. Total lack of customer service. Staff try to keep you on the telephone which is just a ploy to give them an income and this for very poor service. Will not use them again and suggest you don't either.

“Disgusted ”

If I could give this zeros stars I would. I placed an order before the new year, when it arrived about 2 weeks later it wasn't even the item I had ordered, contacted customer services who said I had to place a new order and pay for it again then send the original back for a refund. she said she would put it through at the same price as I had used a discount code and that she would send it next day delivery, although I had to pay the full amount and she said she would refund the difference into my account. After a week I had to chase up the money again, some guy did it over the phone for me but said he would have to send the rest in a cheque, not sure why! Having sent the original item back over a week ago I have just had to contact them again so find out what has happened to my refund, they have now said they will have to send me out a missing parcel letter that I need to send back so they can give it to the disputes department. This is becoming a bit of a joke, It took me three weeks to even receive my original parcel, I had to pay for it twice and they still haven't refunded me the first lot. I will never be ordering through this company again and will be advising everyone I know to do the same.

“Out of stock items for Christmas”

I ordered 6 items for Christmas presents from House of Bath Xmas catalogue at the end of November. Only one of the 4 delivered items arrived when predicted. For the other two, the delivery date has been put back regularly - now I am given February as a delivery date. When I queried this and wrote a review for the company, I eventually got an email saying basically that they cannot show negative reviews on their products if there is a problem with late delivery. Rather than get their act together and improve their customer service, this company seems more intent on concealing its inefficiency. They have asked me to phone customer services and to pay 10p per minute for this - no chance. They have lost my custom.

“Xmas tree”

Ordered a xmas tree three weeks before the big day broken a week before xmas the trees lights were flashing very fast then after a hour never flashed again we bought this tree to save money but we made our kids cry instead Wish we went to Argos instead
