The quest for new sofas that we both liked had taken some time but there were a couple of sofas at the sofa.com showroom that fitted the bill. We ordered `a settee and were given all the information re delivery etc. The big surprise was ,that despite it being close to Xmas, allthe promises(delivery date and time) were fulfilled. I bought the Buttons Super King bed in Ash Soft Wool with Oak legs, it is perfect. I expected the Oak legs to be lighter in finish, but they are a rich deep oak. This looks great with the grey wool, but it doesn't suit my home. Sofa.com quickly and without any hassle offered to send replacement legs in beech which is lighter. We needed two small chairs for our London flat. We chose a plain, light coloured fabric and the chairs look great. They are placed next to an existing settee so we wanted a fabric to co-ordinate and there were several to choose from. Delivery people very helpful and likewise in showroom. My bluebell armchair arrived on time, looks beautiful but is not all that comfortable. This is odd as I bought the bluebell sofa - but in a different fabric and it is wonderfully comfortable. Chair is in yellow velvet, whereas sofa is in a loose weave linen - which I imagine must make the difference. However I am hoping that in time the chair cushions will 'give' a bit. Our day bed is wonderfully comfortable and relaxing. The fabric is excellent, though being linen, it does crease. The filling tends to migrate southwards and the cushion needs a lot of plumping.
