Ikea Brooklyn. Only buy what you can carry by yourself. Deliveries are not reliable and what ever they told you was in stock when you pay for it may not and it may take a while to get it. The costumer service sucks as well… Read Full Review

Ikea delivery: TERRIBLE service. Placed my order (472-567413433-01) the second of august. Delivery date was today 23rd. Yesterday i get the confirmation text saying that they will be here between 11 and 3 pm. Today at 11:30 they call me and say that they are unable to deliver until the 9th of september (13th if it has to be on the weekend). What??? “SHOCKINGLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Delivery due between 7.00 and 13.00 hours and never arrived. Called customer service and was on hold for a whole hour..... then she put me on hold to go and check, only to cut me off. Waited in vein hoping she would call me back as she had all my details, but nothing ! Called back again and held for 50 mins then was advised it was 4 hours late leaving depot..... I was told that the delivery would be within 24hours and it was not possible to deliver any later than that which made me take a day off from work with 12hours notice. “Cheap and fast”

Most reviews are negative, but our experience was good enough that's why I've decided to place a review. We ordered a kitchen, and the delivery was next day. We had no troubles at all with Ikea staff. I think Ikea is good because most items are avaiable for a next day delivery. You can also easily DIY. I went to an ikea store where I ordered some items to be delivered. I paid for the order to be picked and delivered. The sales advisor in store told me it would be delivered the next morning. My paperwork confirmed this. I waited in all morning, no delivery. I phoned customer services where I had to wait 30 minutes before I even got to speak to an advisor. “delivery with missing items”

Bought a bed for my son. It was two items and could not fit in my car. So I ordered it online. I was given a delivery date (I had to wait 7 days), when the item was deliverey it was missing box 1. If you have been to Ikea, you know that it states in big letters that this item is 2 boxes. The delivery driver took back the box saying that the store would contact me to arrange a new delivery date. We ordered kitchen units to be delivered at our home address and when we asked the shop assistant for details he told us we'll get those in a text message. The message stated a link to ikea website and our order number but in order to find out when the delivery arrives the website was also asking for an email address! I ordered some wardrobes yesterday, 19/07/2014, for delivery today, 20/07/2014. I have to say, the delivery service from IKEA was the WORST delivery I have EVER experienced. Given I complete all my purchases online, you can imagine I have encountered a lot of delivery services. I was provided with a 7am-1pm slot - absolutely fine, and perfectly acceptable. “Buying an IKEA Bed”

Just had my first IKEA experience and quickly concluded it will be my last. Travelled 150 miles to the store in Glasgow to furnish my son's flat, part of the purchase was a bed. “Fake Guarantees ”

Bought a £6k kitchen from them with solid oak worktops. They came in-treated which we weren't advised. Within a year they looked 10 years old with black stains coming to the surface from within the wood, after complaining it took ikea about 2 months to basically tell us the guarantee does not cover this and to get knotted. “terrible, do not shop at ikea”

we bought a chair earlier in the year, it stunk to high heaven, we contacted Ikea and eventually they said it was the fire retardant and we would have to return it, they would not consider sending us a new cover, We are in our seventies and an hour and a half from nearest branch. I bought a wardrobe from IKEA and it wouldn't fit in the car, so I used their home delivery service. It cost me 35 pounds. It was supposed to arrive between 10am and 4pm, the lady in the store told me they would phone half an hour prior to delivery. i placed on order online for home delivery and was charged the full amount. an email confirmed the order but with no order number, and said due to a system problem i would receive a call within 3-5 days with a proper confirmation. that never came, surprise. “Absolute Disgrace!”

RE: delivery of a sofa, BRAKIG, June, 2014. I am disgusted by IKEA's delivery service. It's chaotic and completely incompetent. I was promised delivery on 27th June - between 7-1. No show. It is he worst customer service I have ever seen. I tried to call the delivery to inform them that my contact mobile phone number has been stopped due to technical problem.
