We had 2 wasteful trips after the item was reported in stock, on the 3rd trip still no Hagalund sofa I complained to customer service and they were fantastic, I can not fault the reponse in any way whatsoever, it was brilliant and we now hvae a great sofa exactly one one we needed. + _ +.

The Grundtal mirrored bathroom cabinet looked smart in photos and floor display; however, I didn't inspect it (it was heavy, so my strong, man friend dealt with it). Not till I got it home did I saw the crushed side, and how flimsy the chrome was. Customer service were unashamed that damaged goods were on the shelf. OK, partly my fault, but I naively assumed a chrome cabinet would be sturdy. I now must find a way to get back to the store -- as a non-driver, it's impossible unless a kind friend h ...- Read Guest's review (125 words)

I purchased an IKEA Malm Bed. When I moved I lost one of the screws. It was an unusual screw that is not replaceable through hardware stores. When I called Ikea, they told me that they only will sell parts if you can prove you purchased it in the last 90 days. This is crazy. A perfectly fine $200 bed is a nothing but junk because I kind find a replacement screw.- Read Guest's review (70 words)

Ordered a Pax wardrobe from Ikea on line as it was too big to fit in the car & saved the hastle of a long round trip to buy in store & then arrange home delivery. Seemed a good idea at the time. The credit card payment was taken but 2 days later on Bank Holiday Monday I received a telephone call to say that the wardrobe was not available for home delivery online. I could however still have the hanging rail & shelf delivered for £35 - I cancelled the whole order. I fail to understand the bu ...- Read Guest's review (115 words)

I visited the store in Southampton to get myself a Billy Bookcase. After 2 hours of the most hellish shopping experience in my life, we discovered the flatpack was too big to fit in our car. Yeah, that's our own silly fault but my disappointment was only expanded further when I saw how much they charged to deliver it to our home.
I grudgingly accepted, but I don't see how a charge of £40 is justified to have this delivered only 30 miles away.- Read jessica87's review (82 words)

Bought a wall light yesterday from Ikea, called Iskristall. Totally enclosed bulbs. Got home, went to fit it, one bulb missing. Phoned Customer Services. Told me to go back to shop three and half hour drive away as they cannot send replacement bulb (which is small tube shape) in post for health and safety reasons. We travelled all the way from Truro to Bristol, spent two hours getting through the store and now they expect us to go back. What a waste of time. I will never go there again.- Read Guest's review (90 words)

I recently went to the closest ikea store 40 miles away. I needed to buy a few items to finish a kitchen remodeling job. While I was there I tried to return an item that was bought online. They would not accept the return because it was purchased online and there way nothing they could do. Any other store would have no problem with a return. I stormed out of the store so they could not take any more of my money.- Read Guest's review (81 words)

I LOVE IKEA! Yes - there is some cheap rubbish, but most of the stuff is very good quality - expecially the beds. I have had 1 problem out of 8 years. When I did have that problem they where very helpful and I couldn't fault them one bit.
We bought a cabinet and a sofa. Everything was very good - and easy to put up.
If you have never been to Ikea - you have never lived!

IKEA is great if you DO NOT use their delivery! As above pot said, delivery is outsrouced!
I had nothing but nightmare with the delivery company they use. The more annoying thing is IKEA will wash their hands of it saying any trouble is between you and the delivery company and if you have complaints go to delivery company (which is illogical since you are complaining about them in the first place)!
AVOID the IKEA delivery at all cost!
One word RUBISH!- Read Guest's review (82 words)

Like others I've used Ikea in the past and been happy enough with the experience. However our local Croydon branch has now descended into a fleapit of dispair.Walking through the unhelpfully signposted 3 miles of showrooms, most in a shabby state, we found the thing we were looking for and moved on to the warehouse to pick up the flat-pack box.Having come prepared by checking online first that they had plenty of the item in stock, all we supposedly had to do was find which aisle it was located. ...- Read joll3295's review (369 words)

I was so pleased to purchase a suite of 2 Double Hoppen Wardrobes with the frosted glass doors from Ikea...Whilst I am pleased with them more so if this problem had not occurred I find their customer service ...the after care we all depend upon to be abysmal.
After 13 months ...just outside the usual warranty period ...I observed the glass in one of the doors had slipped consequential of the door surround having separated at the joint on the bottom corner ? They are heavy and having seapated I ...- Read Summerc2's review (262 words)

Ikea customer service is truly appalling. My (first and last) experience was: 1. Initially my Debit card did not work and I was informed I would have to ask my bank what the problem is implying it is they're fault. Also told I could not reserve the items I have picked up for a day and would either need to purchase them or pick them up again (I had over £400 of goods on my trolled). Very, very annoying having spent 3 hours looking through your shop that I cannot complete the order. 2. ...- Read edreviewer's review (433 words)

I really like Ikea and recommend it to my friends, Bedding is excellent value for money, I have never had a problem with anything I have bought from the store. Haven't ordered anything online though.
Very easy to assemble flat packed furniture, the only instructions I can follow, sturdy once assembled. All my beds are from Ikea now 5 years old and so far no problems same with my dinning table and chairs and book cases -- Read camills's review (76 words)

We have equipped a vast (450m2) new house with a judicious mix of previously owned kit, one or two 3rd party "style statements" (ugh!) and IKEA, which is at least 50% of the whole. The kitchen and utility rooms, for example, have over 100 IKEA Faktum kitchen units and they look stunning. It is the combination of cheapness plus the practicality and ingenuity of their fittings which means one does not have to stint. Again and again, we found we could fit out the inside of wardrobes for kitchen, be ...- Read Ian Garton's review (254 words)

Myself & my boyfriend decided to go to Ikea Lakeside to purchase a bed frame as I already had an Ikea mattress & we didn't really have a lot of money to spend.
We purchased our bed took it home & assembled it as we were putting the bed up we thought the piece of metal the slats sat on was a little thin but decided to carry on. After one nights sleep my boyfriend sat on the side of the bed & the slats moved & went underneath the bed. This has happened everyday since we bought the bed, before we ...- Read ikeabeds's review (169 words)

IKEA dominate the market because they have good design, clever ideas and are a reasonable price. Just put together the Goliat computer desk and I am very disappointed. OK, it's MDF and veneer and cost about £32 but it's wobbly, the edging for the keyboard shelf has broken already and the veneer on the side of the drawer is so thin that trying to get it on to the plastic runner has caused it to chip and now it won't fit on at all. For very cheap pieces of furniture, I will go to my loca ...- Read Nurse Betty's review (133 words)

Ikea is affordable and has a good range of colours, especially compared to a lot of other brands.
Unlike most people my experience with Ikea's delivery service was fine. My preliminary delivery date was given as 11/02/09 the day I placed my order and stayed that way until the items were delivered " on the day Ikea said they would be. I received a confirmation text after placing my order and the delivery crew contacted me on the day of delivery to say they would arrive in 30-60 minutes, which th ...- Read Guest's review (217 words)

My fifth phone call was returned and the girl was very helpful. The other phone calls were politely dealt with, but the promises of call backs from managers a pack of lies. No one bothered. Rang yesterday to cancel order - promised another call back today from a manager - guess what I am still waiting. Do not believe the bed settee will ever arrive so order is as far as I am concerned cancelled. Now have to cancel the direct debit. I have never wasted so much time and energy on one item of ...- Read Guest's review (142 words)
