“storecard fiasco”

House of Fraser don't run their storcard system. A company called Newday does. Here's my sorry story...... I opened an account to be able to benefit from a 10% discount on a purchase from House of Fraser. I wish now that I hadn't. I spent £341.10 in the High Wycombe House of Fraser store with my new card. I was very satisfied with the purchase. When the store credit card statement arrived I chose to pay it off in full on line. I bought a duvet from house of Fraser in their sale with 70% off, I admit that I didn't shop around for deals as I was shopping at lunch time and was working on the naïve assumption that it would be a good buy. When I took the duvet home and checked on line I realised that it was very likely that the headline price was vastly inflated ( 230 pounds for a duck feather and down duvet ) and I could have got a very similar product non sale from other retailers for less. No complaints about the store[s] - except finding a manned till can be a challenge! HOWEVER... NO REFUNDS AFTER 14 DAYS!! So... If you buy an Xmas Gift before 13th December there is a no refund policy! Yes - you can have a voucher... big WOW! This is an inferior policy to M&S, JOHN LEWIS and other competitors - so.... Totally agree with his lady , Xmas policy change oct 2014 , only winners here are house of Fraser , I am stuck with an e vouch which isn't going to pay me credit bill .

They have refund policies that they fail to communicate to customers until they have taken their hard earned money from them. Used the H.O.F. online sales for perfume that they only stock in one store and make-up, all for a christmas present.
