Summary

As Woolworths looks set to close down it could be you're last chance to shop there but at least you're likely to pick up some bargains. Will you be upset if one of the oldest shopping chains ceases trading or will you be glad to see it go. Good Points: Woolworths seems to attract you in as if there is something you think you may need or you may have actully thought it never had it

Bad Points: Woolworths never seems to be open and all the shelves look bare these days.

low qualiy rubbish if it was their own brand stuff especially tools

General comments: a fantastic shop with nothing that i ever feel worth buying

I liked this store for its sweets and the odd item of baby clothing. But alas that wasn't enough to save it.

Simple and easy to use - basically a site to trust and rely on, with quick postage.

I ordered a 32' TV from my local Woolworths. I was told I would receive it by the 22nd May 08 and that the item was in stock. On the 22nd May I received a phone call saying the TV was out of stock but the money £359.10p had been taken out of my account and I could go into the store to get a refund. EASY I went into the store.
Lady phoned order people and was told by the gentleman on the phone that the money has not come out of the account, we only take the money out of the account when ...

They offer a very fast service, and I would recommend them to anyone. My order came earlier than expected. I have also ordered many other things from Woolworths, and the items have always come on time. Entertainment orders are very fast, getting to you within 48 hours. You also receive a text message when your product is in store. A very good system.

I bought a camera for £29:99, in a half price sale. After 4 weeks the camera developed a fault, and I took it back to the shop. I was told by a supervisor that she could do nothing for me until I had a number to give her from a helpline that Woolworths have. I obtained the number from another assistant and rang them. I explained what the problem was, and I was told to simply take the item back to the shop for a refund or exchange. I informed him that the woman had insisted that she would d ...

In today's internet purchasing world, a stores value is based on value for money and whether you can trust them to deliver the right thing on time. I expected more from Woolworths - who have clearly not got their act together on internet shopping. I also bought a kids helmet 2 days ago from an independent, and it arrived today, as expected. This is the level of expectation today for your internet shoppers, and Woolworths is not there yet. If they had sent an email to say it wasn't coming today t ...

I have always found them to offer good value for money. I have never had a problem with them. There are a whole range of different products to choose from, whether you are looking for cookwear, home furnishings (we bought a couple of giant bean bags for our living room, which was handy, because our room is too small for a sofa), or some electrical appliances, car accessories, toys, baby accessories (carry cots, buggies and clothes), DVD's, plasma TV's, DVD players, CD's, computer games and stati ...

I ordered and paid for an MP3 player on the new in store ordering system at Woolworths. It was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks later at a cost of £6 (it was only supposed to take 3-5 days!). The item never turned up despite calls to the recommended call centre. The staff there were pretty clueless and it took a couple of calls before somebody even bothered to contact me. Despite telling me that the item had been lost by parcel force, I have yet to be told when the item will turn up, ...

I bought an electric saw supplied with four blades for different jobs. A year later I tried to use one of the blades for the first time but it broke as I fitted it. Several months later I sent the broken blade to H.O. and 2 weeks later I had a new set of blades. No guarentee questions, receit demands. We are quick to slate shoddy shopps and services; we should be as quick complimenting them.

Woolworths is a shop I like going in as it has a bit of everything. Good value for money, plenty of stores around the UK.
    Friendly and happy helpful staff.
This is part of the big w company and up to now I have found no faults with either.
