Worst purchasing and customer experience of my life: 1.Bought washing machine on 3rd Jan and informed I would be contacted re delivery 2.Was never contacted re delivery and had moved house in the meantime 3. “Currys are effectively above the law after 6 months”

We bought a Sony TV from Currys in February 2015 and it broke, despite very careful treatment in April 2016. The law (then Sale of Goods Act, but it's since changed) allows you to claim, among other things, if the goods are not durable and TV manufacturers say they should last at least five years, so I sued in the small claims court for the difference. “TAKE CARE - THEY DONT!”

Bosch oven failed almost immediately. Reaction from Currys was to instantly offload to Bosch - not even a question. I tried for consumer rights refund but the answer was, effectively, 'you'll have to wait until a Bosch engineer accepts the fault and a refund is authorised from Bosch'. I tried persisting on my rights, which resulted in one lady hanging up and a 'manager' offering individual attention and a promise of a bypass of the system. Of course I never heard from her again. “Beko Single Oven query”

Bought this from Currys. Discovered the shelves were not level in the oven due to shoddy workmanship. The answer to the query from Knowhow member of staff was get a screwdriver and tighten it up! Won't be buying from Currys again… Read Full Review

“Installation of integrated dishwasher Poor Service ”

We purchased an integrated dishwasher online and paid for installation by Curry's. It has been a catalogue of errors since then *The dishwasher arrived, however it was faulty . The product was returned and reordered. *The second dishwasher was delivered but the team could not install this as they needed a longer pipe/hose. “Very helpful telephone and delivery staff”

I tried ordering an oven and microwave for my paralyed and wheelchair bound brother but the code for £30 off was not working so I rang up. The assistant was incredibly helpful with getting the code to work and the two deliveries organised with gas oven fitting and take away. I ordered a fridge freezer and tumble dryer on line on 27th Feb. Requested Sun 3rd Mar delivery which came back on order acknowledgement. Money taken from my account on 27th Feb Assumed this was set but was wtg for e-mail confirmation. No e-mail so rang on Sat night. Customer service rep confirmed delivery between 7am and 11am. I needed a 16 GB Flash Drive - simple. Checked on line - local Currys showing a few in store. Arrive in Bridgend a few minutes later to find none on shelf! Helpful staff checked to see if any arrived with their delivery - no. Looked on their computer to see plenty of stock in Cardiff. I put a review for the festival park currys in staffordshire saying how the staff were ignorant and what a terrible store it was I contacted currys to let them know and got a standard email 'we will contact the store and speak to the manager etc'. 2 months later I needed a computer cable and thought 'hey currys is garbage at festival park ill try the longton branch maybe they know what a customer looks like' - shame on me for my stupidity. The knowledge of the staff is dire. Asked staff for assistance and was met by the roll of the eyes. Mislabelling and staff blamed customers for moving the products around. Yeah that's correct blame the customers instead of getting off your backsides and sorting it out. Was told the Dyson I was purchasing was the correct one that I wanted. “Awful retail experience”

Just got back home from Currys at Berryden, Aberdeen. No assistants to be seen in television/audio area after 10 minutes of waiting. I managed to find a member of staff who was busy talking to someone who was sat down and may have been a member of staff (no Currys sweatshirt). I politely informed her that there was no one to help in the television/audio area. We specified the time slot and date of delivery in store, which was printed on the receipt. On the day of delivery my wife waited in, but the delivery did not turn up. What made it completely unacceptable is the fact that they could not even be bothered to text or telephone us to let us know. Ordered goods on the 28/10/16 open ended delivery, they kept trying to deliver without me asking them to. Tried to talk to Customer Services, total waste of time - there is no service!!!! “Very poor online ordering and service”

I ordered a hifi for my daughters Xmas last Saturday with delivery into store on Monday. Arrived Monday to be told I am wrong its 3 to 5 days. Called service line today to be told we need to pass you to online service (after 40 mins) online service said we can confirm its at store, i asked that they check, then told its lost in transit.
