After not using Currys for many years after my last appalling experience, i thought i would give them another try, wish i hadn't. Bought a tumble drier online for collect in store. When I got it home and unwrapped it the casing was badly dented. Rang customer services and they suggested I take it back to store or offered me a derisory £10 compensation. Not worth the hassle or expense of taking it back and told them to give compensation to charity. (read more)

“Absolutely awful! Don't ever buy from them”

I ordered some speakers to be delivered to a store. They sent them to a home address but they never arrived. It has now taken me several emails and I have still not got my money back. They want me to travel from London to a store in Lancashire to claim my refund as that it where I initially asked them to be delivered, even though they were never sent there! It also takes them nearly a week to reply to any emails. Awful service! Will never use them again. (read more)

Having picked a washing machine to purchase,I agreed to pay cash for it and stated I would like to collect the item myself,I was then informed I would have to pay £16.99 to have the machine delivered to the shop for me to collect.needless to say I told them what to do with the machine and left.No wonder stores are loosing out to the internet. The main problem with with Dixon's Knowhow is that their systems haven't changed that much since previous failures. Mastercare/PC Service Call/Techguys. They somehow believe that a name change and rebrand every 4 years or so makes it all better! There are some good people who work for the group but the systems are pathetic and senior management believe their own hype. “Should have gone to John Lewis”

Against my normal habit, i decided to replace my broken fridge freezer with one from Currys instead of going to john lewis. The salesman was not overly helpful, but polite and did the minimum needed to get a sale. I was pleased when it was delivered as first call so I wouldn't need to wait in all day. the driver took the old appliance outside but said it would not fit into the gap in the lorry and they would be back later/next day to recycle it. 5 days and many many phone calls and visiting... Ordered a new fridge/freezer and paid extra for specified delivery time slot. After taking a half day to take delivery the disappointment when it didnt show was immense. “Truly the worst customer service possible. ”

To be honest I don't have the time or patience to write the review, just look at the other reviews for Currys, they are all as bad. Just to let you know that Farar from the Halifax store, in customer services/know-how was by far the rudest person I have ever met. She had absolutely no idea about customer service. We purchased a VAX vacuum cleaner from Currys and it really is one of the worst items I've ever encountered. It all works fine for about 5 minutes and then the "blocked" light comes on and the suction has all but gone but the cylinder is still empty. When dismantled the area surrounding the filter is clogged so we clear that and then 5 minutes later again no suction. I tried to buy something on the website, couldn't and so I called reserved. The only thing was they sent me to the wrong store for the reservation. It took me 40 mins to get to the store. on arrival I was told it was the wrong store. They were unhelpful. I called the helpline and I should complain there was no compensation and barely an apology. I want to warn people not to buy the Google Nexus 7. Asus the company who make them are really unhelpful and the cost of a repair to the glass is more than the cost of a new one. They have no UK branches so it will be sent to Asia. It seems a good buy but the glass breaks easily. Ours broke after one month and the warranty does not cover glass. Currys are happy to take your money, but after that if you have any issues, I found your on your own. I bought a vacuum cleaner which failed in less than a year, not to worry I thought, It is less than a year old I will return it to the store. Naturally I booked said delivery date off work to await my order which would arrive between the hours of 7am and 7pm, it didn't arrive. I spent hours on the telephone and at my local shop last year before I received a renewal code for Norton and it was just as bad this year. “Dreadful installation service”

Gas man was supposed to come yesterday to do job that had to be dome before oven comes tomorrow (old gas oven needs to be disconnected before new elec oven is put in). He never came. We were assured that a gas man would come today and he never came. This means that the oven that is due to come tomorrow will not be able to be installed. Delivery was excellent, they called when half an hour away. Could not fit oven as a different plug system so ended up getting own electrician in. They did refund my fitting monies. The gas hob was left with one burner not working. “Do yourself a favour - walk on by”

Great service in store to be fair. My free standing gas cooker arrives having paid £90 odd quid for the 'expert' to fit it in line with Gas safe regs. The old gas cooker is in place. Know how bloke says he cant fit it as the kitchen units would have to be taken out to get access to the gas point. At what point am I supposed to know this. Well that's why you pay that price to be fitted correctly as its not just "a 5 minute job" as pipe work should be accessible behind cooker not behind cupboards so check your independent gas fitter has done his work correctly

Please don't waste your time buying off currys I am still waiting on a refund three weeks on, have spent hours on the phone absolutely useless and quite rude Really don't hold out a lot of hope for them going forward unless they start to train their staff to put the customer first. Ordered a washing machine on line for a tenant with a small child. Money was deducted from my bank immediately and a delivery date was given with a 12 hour window. It did not happen and repeated phone calls met with excuses and promises to return calls which also didn't happen. Laptop would not start advisor Mashud did everything possible. I was given exceptional service. I asked a lot of questions and was pleased with Mashud's response, he was so helpful and I was happy with what he told me, hence my order. “When is a freezer not a freezer?”

When it's the wrong type of freezer! Ordered a chest freezer from Currys as they state on their website that they will remove any like for like product - so assumed my old upright freezer would be taken away - I even confirmed this when they called to tell me when delivery would be. “Never delivered anything - a whole day wasted”

Today Curry's were supposed to deliver our new dryer. I took a day off work to wait in and I waited, waited and waited.... no one ever turned up. I recently purchased a Fridge from Currys and this should have been a simple task. As I wanted the fridge delivering quickly I paid £18.99 for express delivery for a Sunday delivery as we needed this prior to a joiner coming to our house o the monday to change the kitchen to incorporate the new fridge. My partner and I went and bought a tv in currys in northampton riverside in September. We bought it on finance. Paid a deposit and had 10 months to pay off the rest interest free. This company makes up it's own rules. I wanted a refund for a faulty computer, it's been nothing but trouble but the sales girl said the tills don't do refunds!!! They made excuse after excuse. Bought a camera 29 days ago and last night it developed a system fault at my daughters play. Tried in vain to get it exchanged as we are on holiday tomorrow - didnt want to know. Inflexible and rude in the shop I went to. Customer Services, however, tried their best and even got hold of the Regional Manager who not only said no too but also accused me of lying!
