My Dyson Stowaway DC20 Bagless Canister Cyclonic Vacuum doesn't pick up properly with the standard attachment.
Looks good but doesn't get the carpets clean.

I used to have an old model Dyson Stowaway DC20 and although it was brilliant all the small plastic parts broke one after the other. Last year I bought an electolux thinking they had caught up with the cyclonic technology... Big mistake, I then tried my friend's Henry and it was just a waste of space with bags and awkwards in stairs! So I invested again in Dyson Stowaway and I am hooked.

I have a large dog and need to vacuum every other day and they is nothing like it. I do not have the animal ...

The Dyson Stowaway DC2 comes definitely recommended. It's amazingly powerful and efficient..thought my home was clean till I ran the Dyson over it, it's also super compact and looks great.also use it for the car with no problems.

The Dyson Stowaway DC20 is heavy to carry on the stairs mine falls off the step- hot air blows in your face. the telescopic hose keeps collapsing. Storing the attatchments on the hose is rubbish keeps getting in the way. Got the original cylindrical dyson was dyson through and through. Bought this one cause old one on last legs -realised pretty quickly new one not as good as old one I was replacing and still isn't. The original dyson was far superior

This DC20 stowaway is my fourth Dyson and I will never buy another one! I didnt read the views before (which I regret). The DC20 is too heavy, and really awkward, doesn't sit on the stairs (it has fallen down them about 6 times) and each time I'm hoping it has broken so I will be forced to buy a different machine but after paying a lot of money only 3 months ago cannot justify spending the money again! The tools are useless as well. My first Dyson which I got about 13 years ago was a much be ...

Unfortunately I didn't look at a Dyson Stowaway DC20 review before I purchased this machine. The telescopic wand is too large and cumbersome, it makes it impossible to use the attachments and it is much too large to fit under my furniture. I contacted the company to inquire of a hose end that was not telescopic, they offered a longer hose but it was not capable of receiving attachments. The suction is advertised as better, but I don't find it very efficient once there is an amount to inhibit the ...

I'm very disappointed with the purchase of my Dyson Stowaway DC20 and may take it back. Previous Dyson was a grey/purple version and very manageable. Whilst the suction is never a problem with Dyson, the rigid tube on this looks as if it has been made for hoovering up mice! Its telescopic and huge. It is not possible to have good control when using the rigid tube as it has a handle and it is not possible to directly hold the tube.

This is definitely not a cleaner for an older person. It ...

Much more appropriate for a house with wood floors than an upright cleaner is. I have wood floors throughout my house, with carpets only on two staircases. For this use, the Stowaway is perfect. Easy to use, and powerful enough.Be careful when emptying it, because when you unclip the dust box it has a habit of spilling its contents.

Overall I find the Dyson Stowaway DC20 a bad cleaner, very expensive and representing poor value for money - I would avoid! Suction seems OK but because of the brushes, it doesn't clean carpets well. It's also heavy for its size and surprisingly unmanoeuvrable.

Works very well & looks the business. Nice & compact & the cord is easily long enough for my flat. Reviewer above probably didn't switch it on, suction is excellent & it picks up everything. RRP is '£299 but John Lewis has this model for '£250 saving you 50 quid.

Looks good. Lead doesn't go in automatically and most important doesn't pick anything up. If you ring Dyson they say there mut be a faulty seal and sent another, made no difference.
