I booked six nights at Anantara Eastern Mangroves in Abu Dhabi via Asia Rooms. I received confirmation that my booking was confirmed, that payment had been taken and a voucher was issued. I received two telephone calls to check my debit card details. Two weeks later, Asia rooms sent me an email to say that the hotel had failed to honour my booking and that it had been cancelled. I expressed disappointment that this should happen having had payment taken from my account. They promised a refund. When the refund arrived it was over £60GBP short of the amount paid! Asia Rooms not only refused to make good the difference (explaining that this was due to "dynamic currency" and that my bank should sort it out) but also refused any compensation whatsoever. The moral of this story? Don't trust Asia Rooms.

AsiaRooms is not convenient to make some changes (e.g. unable to update the credit card information) and mislead detail information about the hotel. For example: On 11/04/14-11/06/14, We booked 2 nights at Rachan Residence Hotel in Chanthaburi. It stated Breakfast Included, we were so disappointed and we skipped the breakfast for both days because there was only fried egg with toast or a few frozen Thai dishes. In addition: there was only one staff at each shift and they were not friendly, not helpful, they do not speak English and even we communicate Thai with them. They did not seem to care about customer services (e.g. They reluctant to provided more toilette tissue and more pillows. We will not sevice AsiaRooms and will never return to Rachan Residence Hotel in Chanthaburi again.

Don't use asia rooms in bali unless you are 100% sure the hotel confirms your booking, recommend contacting the hotel to confirm. Recently used asia rooms had a booking reference however when arriving the hotel had no booking confirmed from asia rooms and unfortunately was fully booked. Luckily the hotel was nice enough to arrange better and alternative accomodation. Please check with the hotel if they have your booking regardless what asia rooms emails you

If you do use AsiaRooms to book your holiday (and I strongly recommend that you don't) make sure you read every page of the booking process very carefully. In particular, look at the cancellation policy very carefully. You actually have to click on it to be able to see it. The cancellation policy can change from one page of the booking process to the next page of the same booking. It can change from being refundable to non refundable. It can also change from being payable to the hotel during your stay to being payable straight away. This is abhorant behaviour from such a large company. They lack any care in the information they present but it may well be deliberate in order to catch out the unwary. Be careful.

We booked online, based on a quote in USD. However, once at the hotel we were told we could not actually pay in USD, unless it was cash. We therefore had to pay in local currency per the hotel exchange rate and in addition had to pay Visa exchange fee and again took a haircut on Visa exchange rate. All in all, we ended up paying an extra $100 when converted into AUD. Definitely not the cheapest option - would strongly recommend going with someone else.

Their internet site clearly states that you can cancel a booking 21 days before start of stay either by Internet or phone. We booked over the Internet because they had the best price. Red flag #1. This is not the case. We tried to cancel on Internet well before 21 days and were informed we had to call. Red flag #2. Well we called, and called and called. No representative ever answered the phone. Red flag #3. We never heard back from AsiaRooms until well after the 21 day period and then only to inform us they were charging us a penalty fee for cancelling. The company works this system to rack up fees. Save yourself our nightmare and book with someone else.

we have been voted best homestay resort in Thailand for over 14yrs. i have tried both Asia Rooms and Agoda Based in Thailand. neither was reliable.as Our Agents THEIR SERVICE WAS DEPLORABLE.mostly due to the language barrier and a complete form of apathy on their staffs side.if there was ever a problem ,NO ONE there could sort it.our own customer service is beyond approach,i could not trust either agent to handle our clients bookings.book at source if you want reliable genuine prices and care free stays.

Had the worst experience with Asiarooms.com. Had tried 2 years ago with their hotel booking service and it was quite good then with email confirmation sent to you. This time round, I had tried calling their hotline to confirm my booking over 4 consecutive days and on the final day, one of their guys told me that the room is not suitable for a family of 2 adults and 2 young children. I had highlighted my question about the hotel room size whether it could accomodate my family since day 1. Before I can finish my sentence, the guy hang up on me. This is really terrible with the worst customer experience hotel booking website.

I booked a room in Beijing through Asiarooms after telephone assurance from a sales person that I could indeed book with my credit card for my son to stay at the hotel. Alas, when he arrived, he was told there was no reservation. He was forced to pay out of his pocket. THEN the hotel helped themselves to the money a second time from my card. Two months and dozens of calls to Asiarooms got me this: tough luck. If they don't refund we cannot do anything - I find that totally unacceptable.

Have had the most disgusting experiences with Asiarooms.Years before i had no problem with Asiarooms..would make a booking and have it instantly confirmed. Now i have discovered they put card authorisations BEFORE confirming and most of the time the hotels on their site aren't available yet the card authorisation remains for days until they remove it. If you try to book ANOTHER alternative with them they will place another authorisation for a new amount on top of this. Definately NOT live booking or instant for ANY of their hotels. Don't waste time or risk having your money held as an authorisation.

DO NOT BOOK WITH ASIA ROOMS!
I have been trying to book my honeymoon with them at the Panviman resort, president suite, advertised at £255 per night. They came back to me this morning saying that the rate is now £318 to stay at this hotel - which means that this will cost an additional £630. They stated that this was because of a higher rate for the season, but when i checked the website the ONLY price that had changed was on this room, at this hotel, on the dates that i wanted. Please refer to my correspondence with the site below:
Asiarooms.com:
Please note that the hotel can confirmed this booking at higher rate due to new season as below and please advise your acceptance as soon as possible because no room has been reserved at this moment: "
Me:
"I am disgusted. I have checked asiarooms.com again and the rates you advertise have ONLY changed on the dates that i would like to book the room. I have collected evidence so I can prove that this is the case. This does not indicate a new rate for the season, but just for my holiday. This booking is for my honeymoon and you are trying to take advantage, along with the hotel, to charge me more than the going rate you advertise for all other parties. You are ruining my experience and excitement about booking this holiday. What you are doing is very very poor conduct. Please would you honour the rate that you advertised, and advertise for every other date, or i shall be forced to cancel my booking and leave very poor reviews of both Asia Rooms and Panviman. I am very upset and I am sure you can understand my position. I will also be enquiring as to whether or not your conduct is legal."
Asia rooms.com:
"Please noted that when we sent your booking to the hotel, the hotel revise rate for the period you book then we update the rate for this period that why the rate for only your period has been change so please kindly advise again whether you would like to proceed booking with new rate or not because the hotel can offer only this rate.
We do apologize for your inconvenience.
"
I have taken screenshots of the 10 days prior to my dates, and the 10 days after my dates - and they all remain at the cheaper rate.
THE RATES THEY ADVERTISE ARE FALSE TO ENTICE YOU IN - THEY DO NOT HONOUR THEM.

In the homepage it is not clear that the cancellation policiy is depending on the hotel you book . I booked Koyao Bay Pavillons with asiarooms and the cancellation fee was $ 15.00. As I had to cancel the hotel they charged me 40 % and as I told them I would stick to reservation and give it to my son they not even bother to answer my mail. So I had to pay EUR 600 and could not do anything about it. I would never deal with them again^.

The hotel was extremely disappointing but would not have been so depressing if we had paid what we should have, that is half the price charged by Asia Rooms. We wrote to Asia Rooms a number of times on our return asking if there had been some mistake. They said they would reply but at least three months have passed and they have given us no explanation as far as I am aware for the escessive charge for a hotel that only supplied little for me. Our advice is to book your hotel by email yourself and save money.

Dubai was nice and well worth a visit, but the visit was spoilt by staying at this Orchid Hotel.
They transfered us from the 4th floor to the 6th floor but the extreme noise was the same, it appears you don't hear this obnoxious noise in the rear rooms, wouldn't advise folks to go there unless you die when you go to sleep.

same thing just happened to me and to three other people who arrived at the hotel at the same time as me... looks like this happens a lot. Our hotel wasn't so forthcoming and the first I heard from Asiarooms was an email three days after the event to say there was a problem with the booking ????????? Apparently this was all our fault???????
