Try Mangoes Thai Cafe in Kingsholm, Gloucester - much tastier Thai food (in the evenings) compared to what I had at Art of Siam.

I would recommend the Art of Siam to anyone wanting a bit of Thai culture! I visit Thailand regularly and my experience at the restaurant was amazing, warm and friendly staff and the atmosphere and surroundings made me feel like i was back in Thailand. The food is the best thai I have tried in the UK so far! Great attention to detail, even down to the cutlery with carved elephants on!

I would certainly eat here again. Not being knowledgeable about Thai food we decided on a set meal. It was beautifully presented and was a very well balanced meal with a good selection of dishes.

Feels like Thai Emerald in Cheltenham, good location (free parking after 6pm in Russell Street), delicately flavoured Thai food with wonderful staff and surroundings.
Art of Siam is what a restaurant should be really!

I visited a new restaurant in Gloucester in the UK called the Art of Siam, which is situated at 30-32 Clarence Street, and I have never had such an amazing restaurant experience!
After travelling the world, dining all over Australia when I lived there too, this was a true pleasure to behold.
They have only been open around 3 weeks now, and I went for the lunch menu, but I intend to go back for an evening meal.
The decor and surroundings are so sublime, I would go just for the surroundings, but the food was fabulous! I am vegetarian, and I rarely have such a wonderful choice of dishes. The non-vegetarian selection is very varied, and sounds delicious too. The service was personal, warm and welcoming, yet also giving my friend and I more than enough space to enjoy a personal chat. The bathrooms are decorated beautifully. In fact, everything in this place is so stunning!
This place is like a temple in a Far East country.
Feel the atmosphere there.
I had deep fried aubergine with the chefs special sauce and sticky rice, with a swede beautifully cut into an elegant rose. My friend and I both had mango sorbet to finish, and drinks along with complimentary jasmine tea (I'm not sure if the tea is for everyone - I complimented the staff a lot!). My friend also had another vegetarian option of stir-fried mushrooms and cashew nuts in a crispy potato basket. Both our main meals, desert and drinks came to £16.95 altogether, and we were not rushed to finish or leave the restaurant. It was very relaxed.
This business prides itself in perfection. If you are looking for a relaxed, delicious lunch or dinner, in elegant and beautiful surroundings, visit the Art of Siam restaurant in Gloucester.
