Good Points: Friendly fitters
Bad Points: Customer care seemed non existent when bathroom was complete.
General comments: Dolphin Bathrooms - In approx 2 months since bathroom has been completed I have had to phone Dolphin numerous times and send various emails and have not received a reply to either as of yet. I feel the after care is very disappointing.

Salesmen seemed very persuasive and using Hard Sell - can only get discount if you sign tonight - LESSON 1 (Never sign anything under pressure)
We had our en-suite done 5 years ago - it cost us around £9000 then, plus interest using their so low monthly payment plan, ending up costing us a lot more. Bathroom didn't look bad, but it took the installer ages to complete - LESSON 2 when they did get back to me, they seemed non very helpful in trying to speed things up and why would they be? ...

I think the customer service at Dolphin Bathrooms is non-existent and a real disgrace. I found it impossible to get through to a Manager to discuss issues with. The reception staff seemed rude to me and refused to put me through to named contacts. We have no idea when our bathroom will be finished - we just get excuse after excuse.
I found Dolphin Bathrooms to be over priced and sub-standard. DO NOT RECOMMEND using under any circumstances.

The most disappointing company we have used and won't be using them ever again. Initially materials arrived 3 weeks after we ordered bathroom but then the trouble started, getting the installation organised was a nightmare,it took 6 weeks and a letter threatening to cancel the job to get their attention to organise a installation team . Then the fitters discovered the Dolphin surveyor had made some mistakes which meant we had to order different parts thereby further delaying the job. Then of cou ...

Customer service is non-existent. Calls are not returned despite reassurances that a same day call will be made. I have been given four dates so far, each time no-one has contacted me to say the date has changed- it is only when I call Dolphin that I am told of further delays...and I am still waiting for work to begin...oh yes and of course, I have paid the full amount in advance.

If partners were required to be present, this should had been explained during the arrangement of the appointment with Dolphin Bathrooms. A person should not be made to feel inferior if their partner can not be present.

We are very unhappy with our bathroom. Some fittings appear to be good quality however our bathroom is not yet completed after a year. customer services are appalling. We have had (so far) 4 fitters, been left with chipped tiles, incorrectly assembled items, cracked floor tiles, unsightly plastering, grouting and sealant.

The designer seem very professional and the discounts the sales staff spouted seemed very good. However, the top line price that they then discount is astronomically stupid price. We were quoted [get ready] £25000.00 for a new suite (and shower), half tiled walls, tiled floors, a new radiator and light fittings. This was NOT for an elaborate bathroom, with whirl pools baths and water fall bath taps and the like, it was for a basic suite with an acrylic bath. I new they were going to be exp ...

We were told that our bathroom would look like the bathroom in the Dolphin brochure, and after we had paid the deposit things went downhill. The customer service is non-existent, and I received no help or answers to calls - I have to resort to leaving messages they never reply to. After 10 days of misery whilst the bathroom was installed, I am left with a bathroom which looks like a DIY job. In fairness they have agreed to come out after New Year and redo some of the work. In the meantime I have ...

In my opinion, Dolphin Bathrooms have very poor customer services after they have taken a customers payment. Their sales staff do not confirm dates for delivery/installation. I think that the company should be avoided at all costs.

Dolphin Bathrooms are great at making promises, but they are awful at keeping them. The shower unit failed 6 times in the first 12 months. When it failed a further time, just after 12 months, they wanted nothing more to do with it. I assured them that under the 1982 supply of goods and services act they have no choice but to be interested. They then insisted that it was the manufacturers responsibility. The manufacturer refused to do anything about it. We have now had a very expensive but non-wo ...

Dolphin Bathrooms customer service don't ring back when they say they will, and Dolphins departments don't seem able to communicate with each other. Quick to deliver the bath (so they can bill you for it), but very slow to install. They did not respond to our phone calls, or install when they said they would. Saying all that, the finished product is excellent.

I am now happy to announce that Dolphin Bathrooms has recognised the plight I was put through when they made 3 attempts to install my bathroom.
I have below a copy of e-mail sent to the managing director who has proven that Dolphin bathrooom are changing face and living up to their mistakes and prepared to improve as a company and excell at bathroom installations. Is my faith restored?...Yes it is:
Thanks again for your call and the time you have taken to look into my file and in particula ...

My girlfriend persuaded me to let Dolphin quote for my small bathroom, though I knew they would be pricey. Like others, I get the feeling the salesman makes all his decisions about you from looking at the property and what car you have. Oddly, he was driving a P Reg car (albeit a nice Rover), I daresay this was his sales car to give the impression of not being too flashy.
In short, for a bath. power shower, sink, toilet and half wall tiles, the price was £8000. The products are no be ...

Dolphin Bathrooms have great looking showrooms, (did you see the stand at NEC 2005) but what else would you expect from an upper-end of the market company.
Being self employed people, life is too busy, too often, for my other half & I ( she's a childminder, I'm a handyman doing all sorts of 'd.i.y.' work, plumbing, painting, smaller tiling work, etc) so when someone takes on the Project Management side of it all for me, I expect to pay a bit more by way of a premium for that service.
I h ...

The salesman from Dolphin Bathrooms arrived on time and the first few seconds went without a hitch. After offering him a drink, I explained what we were looking to get out of his visit. We said we would like him to view the bathroom and give us some ideas of what could be done and the various options. If he could then give us ball-park prices for the different options, we could then take some time to think about which one we would opt for - I thought that this was perfectly reasonable and not ...

I have just discovered that a Dolphin Bathroom salesman used lies and pressure tactics to persuade my elderly mother that she had to sign a contract for a bath costing 4000 pounds on the spot, even when she was repeatedly saying she wanted to discuss it with her family first. She was desperate for the particular disabled-friendly model, and he convinced her that unless she signed there and then it would not be available. I am utterly disgusted at this firm's abuse of an old woman to sell a bath ...

We have ended up NOT using Dolphin due to their appalling customer services, failure to keep appointments, failure to return telephone calls and ridiculous quotes.
How this company continues operating with such an atrocious customer care attitude is beyond me.

Dolphin Bathrooms
Date 08/06/05
Having visited Homebase the previous weekend and been advised by the sales lady there that she had recently had clients who's bathrooms cost them £3200 - £5000. We enquired if these were full bathrooms which she said they were in fact she added that the £5000 one was a luxury bathroom, we agreed to allow a salesman to visit.
He arrived on time 7.00pm and sat in the lounge introduced himself and then suggested we go to the bathroom and he wo ...
