Good Points: Everything its is lovely car to drive good engine good gearbox smooth drive well built cant fault it.
Bad Points: don't know if its bad but had to have the fuel tank cleaned for £150 cause it was dirty but it is twenty years old so its gonna be dirty but now its a dream.
General comments: I have a Mercedes 190d 1988 2.0 fantastic car I really would rate it iam only 19 but I know a good car when I drive one and this is built to last and well if you look after the filters and oil it will go forever ten out of ten.

If you are lucky to see a 190D 2.5 auto for sale buy it as it appears they are quite rare now and zero depreciation too boot.

This is a great car. It has been expensive to keep running mostly because I've had the dealer maintain it. On cold New England mornings it snaps to life. With new engine mounts it has new car smoothness at idle and on the highway. After nearly 20 years the design remains fresh and attractive. I plan to keep this car.

I have had the Mercedes 190D 2.0 9 years, its done 230,000 miles and the engine has only ever had the oil and filter changed! I fitted new rears radius arms (£145 for 8 of them from eurocarparts). The drive shaft rubber bushes are worn out so I will replace them some time. I replaced the centre bush last year, and I put a new exhaust on for the first time since I bought it! I also fitted new discs and pads and rear handbrake shoes.
I am still using the same battery it came with! I go up ...
