“Poor quality”

Wait 2 months for a sofa to be made, you expect it to be quality. Sofa arrived and had hardly any padding in the cushions so you can feel the the wooden frame underneath you. Also paid extra for the sliding feet but these bits were missed off the bottom. The sofa was very creaky as well. When I complained about it, they first sent a man to check it. He took the sofa apart and it turned out none of the screws or nails were in properly, so he pretty much re-built the frame by adding extra screws… Read Full Review

I haven't even received my furniture yet and I'm regretting it! Furniture was meant to be delivered at end of January but nobody bothered telling me there was a delay until day I was expecting it to arrive. By which time I was sat on the floor. Poked around store, staff friendly to start with. Picked out leather three piece. Clearance at £1995. After an hour he was ready to take the order, and started by saying there was a £59 delivery charge, then £75 for easy glide feet, which are plastic discs about 40mm in diameter. Furniture only lasts as long as warrenty which you have to buy if it's beyond the framework. I've ha4 Sofas from them and a chair of leather all of which are now going to land fill 8 years later. DFS struggled to actually take my initial order for a set of 3 sofa's. I had to return to store 5 TIMES just to get the order completed. I offered to pay upfront but the manager offered me a meagre discount to take out finance, they then took 4 different attempts to get this either on to their system, into a calculator correctly or in the end actually have the right sofa's on the order!!! Having spent a lot of money on what was apparently a high quality 3 piece suite from the Basildon store we have found this not to be the case. They have done the bear minimum to get out of the warranty period before accusing my wife on the phone today of being a liar. The strapping on the sofa is not fit for purpose and provides little support but they are refusing to do anything about it saying it is our word against the ex-member of staff, who sold us the goods as to how good the quality etc… Read Full Review

“Absolute garbage!”

I bought a chair in 2016, on 2 separate occasions their upholsterer has added extra foam and made repairs etc within weeks of purchase. Im now left with a chair which is like sitting on a sack of flour. My arms and legs go numb after sitting on it for a while. Their head of customer service was exctremely rude. “Glow Corner sofa”

Poor quality, long wait for the service team to come out and re stuff a sofa that is not even a year old. The seat has gone for the third time! Was told not to sit on the same seat and rotat each day. The arm rest is made from hard cardboard wood that is about 1 mm thin. The repair man scratched our oak floor pulling the sofa in and out. Love,love,love my new sofa. Having decided to get a new sofa I spotted the Freya. The salesman in Hull was wonderful and explained everything. We decided to take out the stain protection and my sofa was delivered on agreed day. Ive had to callthem out twice once for one of the motors and once because the lumber support on the sofa back was sunk. The motor was not covered they said the salesman had no right to tell me it was he had since been sacked. The next time the man said I was lucky because he was also a time served upholsterer. “Allergy from new sofa”

Myself and partner purchased a new sofa. After a week my son came out in a burning rash and very itchy skin on exposed skin areas such as arms and legs, Shortly afterwards myself and partner came out in same rash and spots.
