Hi DFS, just a msg to say how backwards your delivery system and customer service is. Couch, table and four chairs ordered a month ago. Couch delivered from Croydon store (who, officially never pick up their phone once they have your £££). Xmas delivery promised on table and chairs. “Not arriving before Christmas as promised”

Ordered a couch in October well in time before Christmas, and was advised it would come by the second week of December. Rang up early December to check all was well and advised it would be arriving week commencing 15th December. “Avoid DFS. Expensive,poor customer service and long...”

Delivery time was supposed to be 8 to a maximum of 10 weeks. 12th week just started and still no furniture. I've been promised a call back but no one got back to me for a few days. I'm really disappointed. I would never recommend them to anyone!!! Spending almost £4000 on furniture which is behind over a week (in total 12 weeks) and not been offered even a quid compensation. Last night I had to call DFS to arrange a repair for manual recliner chair bought last year. Rang and spoke to a rep in the Northern Ireland office and she advised that unfortunately they wouldn't be able to get a service repair until after Christmas. She went checked with a manger and had that confirmed. She always set my expectations realistically whilst doing all she could. Brought 2 4seater sofas and a foot stool from the Sidcup Branch. Re the sales side they couldn't do enough but when delivered and there was a fault with the foot stool and since then I have contacted them numerous times and never get called back as promised it is the worst after care customer service I have experience. Having bought a leather suite a few years before I returned to DFS On visiting DFS locally we were met with the usual enthusiasm from sales staff and on inquiring about one of the designs we sat and discussed our options, ie better leather finish what compilation 2 & 3 plus foot stool and then asked to take advantage of the nil deposit and o% finance. Bought a Solace two seater settee in November 2013, by June the cushion on one side had flattened out. I contacted DFS and "service engineer" came and agreed with me that the seat needs replacing. bought suite 18th aug 2014 they had to come out to all the scuff marks paint totally different colour and scuffs not covered looks worse than before service manager agreed job was not good.After various phone calls today 27th nov service manager came to look he wanted to re do touch up i refused to let him do it due to terrible job done in 1ST PLACE . “poor quality ”

We purchased a sofa 2 and half years ago had three repairs done. Every couple of months the springs collapse. Was told by the last repair person that the springs were too long, he shortened them, and it has happened again. The stuffing has been replaced as there was sharp edges.Daughter has bruised her legs on these. Staples sticking out, son has cut his hand on them. “My 2 x £899 sofas will cost £520 each to be 're filled'”

I phoned DFS to complain that my newly delivered sofas had a lack of filling (seems like cotton wool) was told to wait a month to let them 'bed in'. I called a couple of days later to say they were worst. An engineer arrived 2 weeks later and said this was normal and there is nothing wrong, although he did re stich in a couple of places. After taking delivery of 2 very nice sofas and being delighted , I am sorry to say the service received after ordering a kitchen table and chairs was very poor. After waiting over 8 weeks for delivery the table is sent to a courier who arranges the delivery direct. DFS say they don't get involved !!
