The whole buying experience at DFS was fab, well, it would be Wouldnt it? Yesterday they called to say my mums 3 piece suite would be delivered today, 24 hours notice they gave her. She explained that it wasn't long enough as ppl were buying hers & they needed notice to get rid of theirs! went to dfs New Malden wanting to buy a sofa outright, not on finance. Was persuaded to only pay deposit by salesman and pay balance on delivery. Was then told sofa I had chosen in store was already sold but they could get another one from their Liverpool store and still have it delivered within a week. 10 days later after no contact from dfs I telephoned to inquire on delivery and was told that I now had to pay all the money but could not give a delivery date. “poor quality ”

We purchased a sofa 2 and half years ago had three repairs done. Every couple of months the springs collapse. Was told by the last repair person that the springs were too long, he shortened them, and it has happened again. The stuffing has been replaced as there was sharp edges.Daughter has bruised her legs on these. Staples sticking out, son has cut his hand on them. “My 2 x £899 sofas will cost £520 each to be 're filled'”

I phoned DFS to complain that my newly delivered sofas had a lack of filling (seems like cotton wool) was told to wait a month to let them 'bed in'. I called a couple of days later to say they were worst. An engineer arrived 2 weeks later and said this was normal and there is nothing wrong, although he did re stich in a couple of places. I have now had an estimate from a local upholsterer for £520 per sofa to refill. I would have expected the same quality as what is displayed in store… Read Full Review

“Awful delivery .”

After taking delivery of 2 very nice sofas and being delighted , I am sorry to say the service received after ordering a kitchen table and chairs was very poor. After waiting over 8 weeks for delivery the table is sent to a courier who arranges the delivery direct. DFS say they don't get involved !! The courier gave me 48 notice of delivery and as I was away from the property couldn't make that date. Customer service received in store appeared very good. However I was miss informed on a few things including when I would first make a payment. They said 30 days after my delivery was made, it was 2. Also delivery took much longer than 'estimated'. When trying to contact anyone.... in store rung out EVERY TIME.... customer services were very unhelpful, rude and unsympathetic to any problems. Brought our sofas in March 2014, firstly they messed up our credit agreement ended up having to drive back to store twice each time a 90 min round trip! We bought our 2 sofas from DFS Oldham branch, about 4 years ago. The sale was straightforward & we were given good advice on which would be best for our lounge layout. We recently noticed that a couple of bolts had come out of one of the sofas, contacted DFS who duly sent out a repair man from Preston, he was just excellent, we cannot thank him enough. Bought my 3rd sofa from dfs and last!! Other 2 sofas were great, but the last has been shocking. Asked the service manager to come out, he couldn't get out of my home quick enough. Everything stains the sofa even water, and the sofa bobbles if someone sits on it, therefore we have a sofa that can't be sat on.
