Me & my wife went into the Poole store and ordered a black 3 seater and chair.
The staff were very helpful and were not pressurising in anyway, we chose the mercury sofa and chair and paid for it there an then as it was a bargain.
6 weeks later we get a phone call to say it is ready & 2 days later it arrived at the house.
The delivery guys were nice and helpful, I don't know if we were just lucky or if dfs have started doing things right but there were no issues at all with the sofa or delivery.
I could honestly say I would recommend dfs to my friends and people.

DFS - rude, arrogant and unhelpful. Only the sales staff seem to care before you sign and then it gets worse.
Delivery was expected within 6 weeks, after 3 weeks they called and said i had to take delivery the next day or they will send it back as they can't store it.
It arrived and wouldn't fit in the house, only 2 seater and not that big. Delivery driver dragged mud all through house but did try to get it in.
Called DFS on Monday and they told me I will have to pay £60 for their glazier ...

The worst ever experience. I went to slough store in middlesex to choose leather sofa bed. The sales man was so not polite, looked like he was in the hury to get another customer, was making lots of mistakes. He defenetly need customer service courses, because me and I mum were shocked by the service. I liked 2seater leather sofa bed, and singed the papers for the credit check. So had to call them next week, just because sales man took wrong the number. I didn't went through the credit check, th ...

I ordered a sofa from DFS Brent Cross and specifically asked for the last delivery as I am working and booked the second half day off. At 8.15 in the morning they called me to say that the delivery will be within an hour! I had to re-arrange the delivery and waste another day of holiday! Not happy with the service at all! Only order the furniture from them if you have all day fee to sit there and wait for the delivery as they don't do what they promise!

The most awful service ever - not just the very delayed delivery time, the very poor customer support but also from the delivery men who turned up at my door. Demanded money before even being allowed to see the furniture delivered.

My girlfriend who answered the door was met by a very abrupt delivery man asking for £3000 cash. If we did not pay we would not have the sofa. We had waited so long for the sofa we wanted to be sure there were no problems, marks or scuffs before parting with so ...

Totally disgusted with DFS. Took delivery of a leather suite in June 2008. By September 2009 the fibre filling has gone so flat when sitting on it you can feel the wooden frame. Two service engineers visits later and a store managers visit later they are offering to take it away and refill it with a 'superior filling'. As the cushions are fixed you can not plump them up, so when I asked what happens if it goes the same way in a years time I was told 'I don't think it will but if it did we wi ...

FOR ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO ORDER FROM (DFS) Please be aware: of the clauses in the documentation as regards to DELIVERY TIMES, also if purchased on an INTEREST FREE CREDIT agreement. Firstly may I say that I cannot comment on the workmanship of the goods, as I have not taken delivery as yet, my comments are purely on the salesmanship of the store. I ordered a three piece suite on the 12 July 2009 in Birmingham, the sales person was most helpful ,and polite ,and I have no comments on their pr ...

DFS - never ever would I deal with them again! I ordered a lovely white leather sofa from DFS in their half price sale. The sales person was great, we paid our deposit and the full balance on my husband debit card before delivery. 2 unfriendly, non-communicating delivery men delivered the sofa and then left. On checking the sofa, I found 14 marks on it, from a tear, 3 scruffs, torn leather around the stitching and orange high-lighter pen. I phoned the store to be told that a repair man woul ...

Dfs are a joke take your money and run we have paid £1400 for sofa that was a corner group dark charcoal grey had it less than 6 months and it had faded from its normal colour to a purple throughout the whole sofa confused I was. on sunny days I would always have closed the curtains to protect my sofa from fading but there is only so much you can do as living rooms have windows. The insurance I paid £200 for which I was told they would come out a clean your sofa for you if you have a ...

Appalling. After a couple of months the suite became discoloured. DFS refuse to acknowledge any fault and refuse refund or replacement despite earlier promises.

haven't received my product yet i have been waiting in all day the customer service seemed good up until point of purchase... after this i feel i was treated as an irritating nuisance, the staff i have dealt with did not appear to be very well trained in customer service.

i was unable to request even an afternoon or morning slot for delivery i was completely at their mercy. tried to call the store that i was having delivery from the phone was never answered whenever i tried (they open at 9 i ca ...

I think that if I had not heard the tap on the door frame then I would not have had the sofa delivered. It appears to me that nearing the end of the working day they may use this ploy to try to gain time, making people book another delivery day. Can this be so? It certainly looks like it to me.

Any complaint about them not arriving may then be dismissed as they would be able to prove that they did call at the house. They have to phone in to the company to tell them where they are going next, an ...

Reading others' reviews, I was nervous about our sofa purchase from DFS, but in the end, it was all good. Sofa turned up 4 weeks early(!), delivery men phoned when they said they would and delivered ok. I even had a follow-up phone call from DFS asking about my experience. I'm pleasantly surprised. And the sofa hasn't fallen apart (yet!). Maybe we were lucky, maybe DFS are getting their act together, I don't know. But overall, a good purchasing experience.

Although I weigh a little over 15 stone I would not have expected the infill of 3 different DFS sofas to collapse so quickly. The latest one seemed to fail within 10 minutes. I have previously bought cheap sofas that have been far superior and have lasted for many years. I have basically concluded that the product is probably reasonable if the user weighs less than 11 stones.

Moving in to our new home strapped for cash we decided DFS interest free credit was the way to go big mistake.
After looking round we fell in love with a Linda Barker design leather sofa so after paying £1700 and an additional £250 call out leather match all singing and dancing repair man, which i hadn't hoped to use.
Well 3 months after our sofa arrived the leather started cracking on the chair i called DFS who sent out the repair man ,only to be told it was general wear and tear, ...

We received our leather sofa from DFS four months after we bought it. Good price so thought it was worth the wait. Noticed immediately that the quality of the leather was really poor, it was very thin and we were wondering how long it would last - 18 months later it has a 3 inch tear on one of the cushions! Would never buy from them again!!

our beautiful looking and comfortable chocolate leather corner suite came to our home with a large gash in the mesh on the underneath of the sofa, and various marks where they have told us there wasn't enough leather dye!! They sent a leather specialist out to view the marks who then repaired them by just rubbing in some dye and drying it with a hair dryer hence the marks are still there as he just coloured them in!!! They just stapled the ripped mesh back underneath it looks a mess! These are m ...
