Good Points: As above - covers well and stands head and shoulders
above some much more expensive paints.

    Bad Points: none

General comments: B&Q Tate Colour is an excellent paint; low in emissions ie no nasty smells!
Thick, resilient, efficient - very good coverage.
Reminds me of New England Paint which had exactly
    the same factors.

I agree with floss on this
B&Q Tate Colour Emulsion. I was hoping to freshen up my kitchen by putting on another coat of the same colour (Skylon) but I'm hugely disappointed that B&Q have discontinued this range. It was without a doubt the best paint I've used. Why has it been discontinued? Don't tell me - 'No demand' !

Brilliant paint, good coverage, need to get hold of more paint in the colour Fruit. It is a really bold deep purple.

When will paint manufacturers realise that we don't want to spend our lives going over and over the same walls. We do not want to employ painters to do it either. These one coat paints are not much better. I am now using Dulux and Farrow and Ball, and they are pathetic in comparison with B&Q Tate Colour Emulsion. They need several boring coats. With all the innovations manufacturers have, why will they not make paint thicker? I suspect that it's financial, as we wouldn't use so much.

B&Q Tate Colour Emulsion paint, which now seems to have been discontinued by B&Q, was the best paint I ever used, and I have used a lot. It covered well, was easy to use - not too thin or too thick, had minimal smell which didn't last long, the colour choice was great, and I would buy more of it if I knew where to get it. I did my kitchen in a colour called Ebb, which is fantastic, and I am really disappointed that B&Q no longer stock the range.
