I RECENTLY BOUGHT A DODGE CALIBER FROM CLARENCE STREET DEPOT.THERE WAS A COUPLE OF JOBS NEEDED DOING ON IT AND THEY DID THEM STRAIGHT AWAY. FANTASTIC SERVICE ALL ROUND.I WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEM I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A PEUGOT 307CC AS A SURPRISE FOR MY WIFE. THE SALESMAN DEALT WITH EVERYTHING WITHOUT MY WIFE FINDING OUT AND HE EVEN GOT A PRIVATE REG PLATE ORGANISED AND PUT ON THE CAR FOR ME. 2 GREAT EXPERIENCES. CANT PRAISE THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH.

Clarence Street Motor depot Took my car, which was a good runner, as part exchange when we bought a car from them a few weeks ago. From day one the car never ran properly. They took it in for repairs and we never got it back. Apparently they can't fix it even though it's only a couple of years old. We are now waiting for our money back, almost 2 grand. There is no after sales care as the service we recieved was rubbish, apart from the service manager who was helpful and sensitive to our frust ...

DO NOT BUY FROM MOTOR DEPOT OR INTEREST FREE 4 CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolute scammers. Check the prices on motor depot and then interest free 4 cars (they are the same company yet they charge vast differing prices), one promising interest free when in reality they are charging huge hidden interest.

Interest free 4 cars are liars. Misleading the customer into thinking there is no interest, when they in fact have valued the car and then sell it for a large mark up, whilst at the same time sellin ...

I bought a Vauxhall from Motor Depot, and was told that the vehicle had a full service history. After getting the vehicle home I discovered that the vehicle service book was missing! I got in touch with them and got them to send it out to me. On looking at it I discovered that the vehicle had missed its 20,000 mile service by about 3,000 miles! (Full service history? Not!) The vehicle has been into a Vauxhall garage a few times for repair work under warranty, luckily nothing has been said about t ...

Motor Depot is a straightforward, no frills company which offer fantastic prices.

If I wanted spectacular after-service etc, I would choose to to a franchsied dealer and pay thousands of pounds extra into the bargain - no thanks!!

My girlfriend had no problems dealing with Motor Depot and neither did I.

I bought a 'nearly-new' VW Golf with 8,000 miles on the clock and am completely satisfied.

    Ignore the naysayers!

Having read some of the mixed reviews on here, I was a bit nervous about buying from Motor Depot but their price was too good to ignore (on an 07 plate Astra).

I can honestly say the handover went smoothly and I am very happy with my purchase!

I bought a used car and a used car warranty.I read the warranty before I agreed the purchase, was happy and have had no problems since.I have made a few claims on my warranty with no trouble at all.I think some people expect everything for nothing. My next car will be from Motor Depot and have recommended them to friends and relatives.

Bought a year old Astra from Motor Depot, Hull. Was promised all the jobs would be done, surprise surprise nothing was done as promised even the so called valetting was below standard. The service dept are very rude, will never go back again neither will my friends. The salesman came across as half decent but he was just the same as the rest.

Went in to Motor Depot in Hessle as there was a car i was considering buying. The salesman had a look round my car to value it but when he found out i wasn't prepared to commit there & then he refused to give me a price for my car & became rude saying it was "a pointless excercise". Changed his mind when i was going to leave but, i'm afraid, the damage had already been done. This place is ruled by commission based sales & targets and as a result the customer comes 2nd.

    Motor Depot is a joke!

Bought the two year warranty package as was told by salesman 'covers everything' and can be 'used at any dealer including the main dealer'.

Now that I need to claim on the warranty it turns out that this isn't actually an insurance backed warranty but is simply their own payout system. As such, they seem to go out of their way to pay for any legitimate warranty claim!

I am about to take them to court over failure to pay for a very clearly covered item (specifically cove ...

Do not buy a car from Motor Depot, however good the price!!

I agreed a price and paid my deposit in early Dec 08. I then went to pick the car up and got told by another salesman that the original price was wrong and hadn't been agreed at all!

I argued that the price had been agreed and I eventually paid a another salesman the agreed price. However, 3 months later I get a phone call threatening legal action if I didn't pay the extra money!

So don't ever buy a car from Motor Depot and make sure ...

We would NEVER buy another car from Motor Depot or deal with them in any way. We bought a car from them which had an air con problem which we were not made aware of at the time. Within 3 months of taking delivery of the car we found out what was wrong with the car and that it was going to cost £680 to fix we asked Motor Depot to sort it out with us. They offered us £50 as a goodwill gesture, we refused this and from then on they were extremely rude to us. We ended up taking them ...

bought a leon from Motor Depot in Hull in may 09 .Very helpful and polite when buying the car but not so helpful for any faults after the sale.Got extra warranty for 24 months but everything you ring back about turns out not to be covered.Calls are not returned to you either.Very disappointed with the aftersales service and would think twice about using them or recommending them again.

Alarm bells should have rang when Motor Depot, Hull, Humberside wouldn't take a redit card for deposit. Agreed to buy the car on the basis of a full service history. Turns out it had never been serviced . They offered a warranty but I decilned. Refused to give the deposit back and have threatened legal action against me for 'loss of profit' - dreadful people - will tell you anything to get the deal, even if it ain't true.

I bought a car from Motor Depot, Hessle, in January 2009. The sales staff are friendly without being overbearing and I found them very easy to deal with. I agreed to take out their 2-year warranty package to give myself peace of mind as I have to commute quite a distance to work daily, however I really wish I hadn't bothered. The package cost me £849 but so far it has been a total waste of money. The warranty states wheel bearings are covered - however the rear wheel bearings went in ...

Motor Depot did what they said on the tin...car ready on time and the salesman was excellent, car as described.

I live 100 miles away but well worth the trip to save £800 on local dealer.

Fantastic choice and the best prices around.

VERY UNHAPPY with every bit of service from Motor Depot, i purchased a renaullt scenic 04 plate with only 15k on it almost a year ago for £5500 so high end of price range for that vehicle....i collected the vehicle when it was ready and on my way home, it started running very rough, called motor depot, they said bring it back for repair, they said the coils had got damp so they cleaned them off, this has now happened a further 3 times and they've apparently over the past year replaced all ...
