    Agreed to buy the car on condition that exhaust problem was corrected before I took the car from croyland car megastore. I was called the day before and ensured the problem was fixed and asked if I could pay over the phone to speed up the collection process the next day, given this was a car megastore I thought this would be ok. I'm sure you can guess where this is going, when I arrived to pick up the car the fault hadn't been corrected and in the time it took me to turn round and go back to the garage the airbag light came on and another warning light. On top of this they only had a photocopy of the service history book (as apparently the original was in a fire proof safe hat could not be accessed at the weekend - i later found out that it wasn't). Anyway I returned the car and was quite angry but was assured that if I take it away and bring it back the next week (as it was two days before christmas) everything would be fixed and a new service book would be purchased for me and stamped up.

    Well over 6 months later I still have the same problem and no service book!!

    I found that phone calls were never returned (even from the Sales Director when it was escalated to him) and generally they were uninterested in helping me once they had my money. It is worth pointing out that they were very helpful and accommodating when showing me round the cars and getting the sale, it was just after they had my money they lost interest and repeatedly broke promises.

    I've since learnt that I'm not the only person to have this sort of experience with Croyland and would urge everyone to be very careful if dealing with them. I really wouldn't have expected these problems with a 'car megastore' and when i told friends of my problems they all assumed it was a dodgy backstreet dealer and if i'm honest that is how it felt given the broken promises and dishonesty!!

    Finally I'd point out this is all based on fact and I was careful to get things from Croyland in writing and record dates on conversations and phone calls. I'm a very chilled person and rarely complain, even if i should do but Croyland were just too much for me!

    When we came to collect it vehicle didn't have service book, and was unoperational - electronic fault, check gearbox etc. I have refused to accept it. They replaced battery and gave me a letter that if they will not provide service book within 30 days they will give full refund. 30 days later, no service book, vehicle has broken gearbox and no refund YET.

    Very easy place to find with good parking and on site Shell station, just off the A45.
    I would describe as in-expensive rather than a cheap range of cars that were in stock and I was impressed with condition of all the cars (lack of stone chips etc).
    Overall very helpful and would recommend over other car supermarkets in the area (Visited carshop.co.uk just down the A45 who were reluctant to take no for an answer, cars slightly cheaper (£250-£500) but condition wasn ' t nearly as go ...
