I ordered a dress for my wedding, i gave my measurements as asked for but when the dress came it did not fit. They would not give me a straight exchange for an alternative i found stating i needed to pay extra as the second dress cost more. They refused to give me refund so i had no alternative but to order a second dress at extra cost to me with a second set of measurements. However when the second dress came it still did not fit, i contacted them yet again and they said they followed my measurements but when i measured the dress it was not size i gave them they then said this dress came as standard and was not made to measure but would not give me another exchange without me paying yet more money neither would they give me a refund. I was stuck with two dresses that were no good to me, luckily the second one had an open back so i was able to have a panel put in place so it then fitted me.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR DRESSES TO ANYONE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.

It was out of stock, they asked us to choose and alternative.

We did not like any other ones so informed them we did not like any others, and would like a refund.

just to warn the british public this is not a uk based site and they do not dispatch items on time.

do not buy from this company as getting any refund is near impossible and they will say your item is delayed at customs when it clearly has not been sent. JUST TO SAY IT AGAIN DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE .... AS YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Arrived after fifteen days in a package30cmxx30cms x 5cms. Cost £135 and you could find better quality for £5 in Primark. It appears to be a UK Based company but is Chinese . They do not respond to emails have a strange phone number 05601 5642181 and no UK address.

I needed a prom dress the year before last, it was only 3-4 weeks away and i thought i'll try online. I ordered the made-to-measure dress, it arrived and i followed all measuring instructions to allow a lee way, and it fitted perfectly! I did however end up buying a hoop to make it more puffy, and the shawl was a little too short, but i really liked the dress :D

Yes like others have said it comes from china, and is in a very small bag, but if you hang it the creases just fall out (or at least the design i chose did). i wore it one the night and as it was sew up in rouches i stepped on it trying to get out of the limo, one of the stiches came out but the driver had safety pins so it was quick fix. i don't think it deserves such poor reviews as some have given, although it may depend on the dress you choose

What a SCAM this is! - be careful, company is in China and not UK and dress quality is that of a 3 year old! Save your money and make it yourself - it will look better and cost less. They never answer your emails, speak with you and don't even think sending anything back. Overpriced, late arriving junk.... Don'be be fooled by many of the reviews - they write them themselves - look at the quality of the English! Just don't it - be warned............

Just like other first-time buyers for an online shopping site, I kind of had a roller coaster experience with FormalDress4u. I was in a rush to buy a homecoming dress that was formal but not that expensive. I only had two weeks left then when I decided to purchase online. I had to try the services offered by the company.

I had to order a standard dress - although I want a custom-made one - because FormalDress4u takes only seven days to deliver one. The dress came 5 day late from the promise. But it's okay, the dress looked good on me anyway. I am kind of got disgusted about that.

I would NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE, it needs to be shut DOWN, the quality of the dresses are a JOKE, the cost is way over priced, the stitching looks like a child has made it, the material is so cheap, the pattern work stitched on the dress is wonky making the bust look uneven, and its falling apart from the seems. They wont address my emails or give me an address to return the item. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED, this site is very very risky to buy from... I will in every way shape or form get this shop shut down. please report it to trading standards!!!
