“Good colours and choice of garments”

Written on: 19/04/2015 by Wonderousone (2 reviews written)

I have two Wool Overs ladies crew neck sweaters in merino/cashmere, I must be the only person that doesn't think these sweaters are wonderful. I am amazed that the cashmere content is 30% because to me they only feel the same quality as average lambswool. My husband has a Lyle and Scott lambswool/cashmere sweater(only 5% cashmere) and that is far softer that my Wool Overs sweaters. I am very disappointed they are not softer but, on a plus note their range of colours is brilliant. Interestingly… Read Full Review

“QUESTION OF SIZE”

Written on: 04/04/2015 by scotsguards (1 review written)

I would like to say the jumper I ordered arrived early which was good, and arrived in good condition. The problem was I ordered a large size jumper and received a large size jumper, and it said large on the label of the jumper, but it was more like a XLarge or maybe even a XXLarge, but it drowned me which is a pity because it was a lovely jumper. I was going to ask for a medium but did not want to take the risk in case it was too small, as a medium is always too tight. I had previously bought… Read Full Review

“Sizing - body length”

Written on: 04/04/2015 by Penelopes314 (1 review written)

Good quality garments and prompt service. However, had to exchange 4 garments as they were too short in the body. I am not particularly tall but the medium size was too short. In the case of 2 garments I had to exchange for large size to get the body length. In the case of 2 V neck sweaters I opted for a style change although this was a little more casual than I wanted. As I had already bought 2 slinky polos in medium which were of a satisfactory length, I found this disappointing… Read Full Review

“Extremely poor after sales service”

Written on: 03/04/2015 by Jaylee257 (1 review written)

I bought a lovely sweater which I didn't wear for a few weeks, when I got it out to wear I spotted a small hole just under the collar point where a stitch had not been knitted and it had run. I contacted Woolovers to let them know but said as it was small I could stitch it and I would not be sending it back, but I thought they should know so they could check the rest of the batch. I heard nothing from them,I resent the email and did get an answer asking me to send an electronic photo to their… Read Full Review

“Quality good, sizing mmmm.....”

Written on: 03/04/2015 by AshtynHurst348 (1 review written)

I recently purchased a citrus cardigan with 3/4 sleeves in Medium size and two slinky polo neck jumpers also in Medium. The cardigan fitted perfectly but the jumpers had to be returned. I then purchased another slinky polo neck in Small but it's still too big. I guess your sizing just doesn't suit me. Overall quality of products I felt was good but doubt I'll be ordering anything again - particularly when I have to keep paying for return postage… Read Full Review

“postage!”

Written on: 20/03/2015 by Isaiasm458 (1 review written)

Don't like the fact that the customer has to pay for the return of goods. All my other websites provide a pre-paid label to return free of charge. It puts me off buying, then I order and forget I have to send the item back at my cost! Mostly items have been returned due to size/quality issues, but have kept a couple of items. Also colours, the pale blue I ordered turned up and it was duck egg colour!!! old ladyish! even though I'm 61!… Read Full Review

“Incorrect Sizing”

Written on: 18/03/2015

Although pleased with the jumper and the price, the sizing appears to be way off. Only size available was large, I am a 12-14, and it fitted perfectly. Would not have wanted to buy the medium as it would have been too small. Also would prefer a larger welt on the sleeve, I am only 5ft 4in and sleeves are usually a bit long and I was unable to turn welt up as it was very small… Read Full Review

“Delivery fast, but quality not what I had hoped”

Written on: 18/03/2015 by CustomerNL (1 review written)

Delivery was very fast. The quality of the product is a bit disappointing - my new navy cashmere/merino cardigan is felting a bit after just a couple of weeks. Okay, it wasn't expensive, but I can't wear a felting cardigan to work… Read Full Review

“Good range of styles and colours”

Written on: 05/03/2015 by 164Pierce (1 review written)

Reasonably priced and acceptable quality, Woolovers is one of the few companies offering wool knitwear in an excellent range of colours. Sizing can be inconsistent between styles and delivery a bit slow. Returns very slow indeed… Read Full Review

“Drop in Quality”

Written on: 05/03/2015 by 402Wiley (1 review written)

Recently purchased 2 Guernsey jumpers. This is because I purchased the same about 18 month ago. The quality of the recently purchased Guernsey jumpers is lacking. They are lighter in weight and the sizing is completely different. I have kept the jumpers purely because they are at a bargain price. If I had known that the quality of the jumpers would drop in line with the drop in price I would not have purchased them. Packaging good - delivery prompt… Read Full Review

“BASICS”

Written on: 03/03/2015 by OliverKennedy433 (1 review written)

The knitwear is stylish but classic and there is a good range of colours it's a pity you have to pay postage and returns the italian collar cardigan was very stylish but the wool was so hard and scratchy it was unwearable! Could you make this style in wool and cashmere or silk and cotton or best of all cotton and cashmere!… Read Full Review

“Changed size in the wash”

Written on: 16/02/2015 by Judge50 (1 review written)

I bought two cardigans for Christmas, one for myself and the other for my wife. I washed hers successfully (30 degree colours wash), leaving it to dry naturally, but when it came to my garment (same wash and dry process) I found it had shrunk in size and no longer fitted me. A disappointment, as it was a nice cardigan and had been commented on at Christmas… Read Full Review

“Inconsistent quality!”

Written on: 06/02/2015 by Ishouldhaveknownbetter (1 review written)

I ordered two jumpers of the same style and size. One is fine, the other looks like someone has already worn it and stretched the hem. One fits nicely, one doesn't.....why?… Read Full Review

Adriennegent1's Response to Ishouldhaveknownbetter's Review

Written on: 07/02/2015

I agree with this comment. My husband and I have been buying jumpers from Woolovers for many years. Mostly the quality is fantastic, but occasionally of late, there have been issues like poor fit or a thinner wool quality. I recently bought two jumpers on a reduced price deal and one colour is smaller than the other and the wool has 'bobbled' quite badly after a few wearings. Hoping that the general quality of this fantastic source of wool clothing is not declining!

“Colours not as portrayed on website”

Written on: 31/01/2015

I was really pleased with a previous order for a black slinky polo and cropped cardigan so I decided to order more in different colours. I was so disappointed with the colours, they are nothing like the colours portrayed on the website or in the catalogue (winter white is beige and red rose is more like cerise) the polo is also very thin and would need a camisole underneath it. I initially thought on opening the parcel they had sent the wrong items. I am still undecided wether to return the… Read Full Review

“relaxed grandad shirt”

Written on: 28/01/2015 by Monkerhostin (1 review written)

I like the relaxed granddad style of garment to wear over t-shirts, but I had never purchased one from Woolovers before. (I have a V-neck sweater from Woolovers which I like wearing but has pilled under the arms). I have had to send the Large size relaxed granddad back (I am a size 16 so would expect to purchase a Large size) as it is far too relaxed for me. It is very wide and the neck is like a boat, although the sleeves and length are fine. I haven't received the Medium size yet so can't… Read Full Review

“Not all its cracked up to be”

Written on: 26/01/2015 by Popehl347 (1 review written)

I bought two lambswool cardigans a few months ago, they had to be returned as they were far too big. I had paid particular attention to the sizing charts as recommended on the website but I managed to order the incorrect size using the information supplied. I liked the quality and the price of the garments so, when I ordered replacements of the correct size I ordered two more. There followed a very long wait for the replacements to arrive, the original order had arrived very quickly so I was… Read Full Review

“useful layer”

Written on: 25/01/2015 by AlaniHolden234 (1 review written)

I have 3 of these now and find them really useful to layer up in the winter, I am 5'4 and choose M which is nice and long and great over skinnies. However, with knitwear I find you get what you pay for - these bobble badly, and after a bit of wear the knit is very thin. If you want a cosy heavier weight layer this isn't for you… Read Full Review

“Didn't wash well”

“shades of grey”

Written on: 19/01/2015

Basically happy with purchase. Colour was darker than I expected, but I do wear it, and it is very warm.It is a generous fitting! The package arrived quickly, but the jumper was heavily creased, and the packaging damaged. the delivery note looked as though it had been screwed up, and I had to iron the paper as well as the jumper! I know it was ordered before Xmas, and things were frenetic, but you did ask for any criticisms!… Read Full Review
