    I've been dealing with royal bank over an year. Now I'm really having problems with them. They have frozen my account for no apparent reason and cancelled a payment I made. I deposited a cheque and made this payment, I had some immediate release on all of my deposits. However, royal bank had reversed the payment eventhough I had funds saying because of unusal activity. No phone call email or anything from them, I only found out that the payment wasn't received to the credit card, after a week. And I had to pay interest on the credit because of this. I visited the bank and clearly explained that the problem was of that of royal bank they still refused to unfreeze my account. I was asked to go to the home branch. In the branch they agreed it's their mistake and I had paid more than $70 of interest because of their error. But they refused to credit this and only offered $9 credit.

    I have been with the Royal Bank of Canada many years and they are always quick to address my needs and wants. Professional and considerate. They treat a customer with respect on the phone.
    I have been with other banking institutes but they cannot compare to this bank. I like honesty and respect a banker when he is just that with me. My needs and wants and what I feel comfortable with has always been addressed. Why leave?
