    just got this gun ,went to try out the tx200 mk3,great ,then saw both my lads faces ,they looked sad as if they were saying why does daddy get every thing ,so i left my tx there for another time and got them the smk17
    ,done some target practice ,and wow kind of suprised how acurate it was my 12year old was hitting better targets than me so 5*for this gun great for starters,i love it to .............

    SMK 17 is a very good rifle for a younger person about 14, it is a break barel so it is quick to load, it is as acurate as you can get on a break barel, you can buy a .22 or .177, they are great value for money at about £70, it has a very good automatic safety feature whitch at first is very anoying but after a few shots it is second nature to remember to take it off, i purchased the .177 but i would rather have bought the .22 now i can look back, it has a rail to fix most scopes to it is ...

    i think this Smk 17 Air Rifle is Wicked For hunting small animals and using it for taget practice.. the trigger is heavy which is good after you get use to it.. the aim was rubbish ( UNTILL )we lined up the sight and was first out of 3 other rifles to hit bullseye :D i recommecd this air rifle to anywone and everywone.. but not to people that like complaining about anything and everything :) thx for reading ;D

    I think this SMK 17 Air Rifle is wicked for hunting and using it for target practice.. the trigger is heavy which is good after you get used to it.. the aim was rubbish ( UNTIL ) we lined up the sight and was first out of 3 other rifles to hit bullseye :D i recommend this air rifle to anyone and everyone..

    Great starter rifle. My second shot was bullseye. I shot playstation memory card on 20ft distance. Easy to load and handle. Good value for money. Recommended to all.

    The SMK 17 is my second air rifle and i just use it for shooting targets in the garden, but i hope to try hunting with it soon!

    Good value for money
    This is my first air rifle and I find it a very good all round rifle ideal for first time shooters i bought mine for fifty pound which I think to be very good vakue for money.

    A good gun for a beginner and about the right size stock for 13 yr old. good quality. packs a lot of punch. As accurate as you would get a break barrel. i love it an recommend it!

    Good all round gun. Safety catch can get annoying as automatically comes on everytime you cock the gun, not good for speed shooting e.g. shooting rats in a barn where you don't always have time to remove the safety if your going to hit your target! It is very accurate

    Very reliable, solid, good fun air rifle. You get what you pay for and it is indeed cheap! Though not to knock it at all - there are plenty of inferior air rifles on the market in the same price range as this one! (£70-100) The first thing i noticed when firing this gun is the awfully heavy single stage trigger, i consider it the biggest single flaw of the rifle, otherwise it really would be as good as the budget models of more prestigious manufacturers; consequently this interferes with ...

    All around nice rifle, seems to be more popular in sportshops than online. Good power (9-10ft/lbs, realistically about 7-8) for price. Fit a good scope on and this will be a class rifle.

    Absolutely recommended for new shooters with a low budget; experienced rifle owners will tell you NEVER to go for SMK, but with nothing else to compare to the SMK 17 is about as economic as springers go!

    Absolutely NOT recommended if you've owned any other previous (BSA/Webley/AA etc) rifle.
