Same again. Used Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc a couple of times then got soaked in petrol!I.ve had the fuel tank out and checked the seals - all seems ok but the throttle trigger assembly has dismantled itself during the job and I can't see how it goes back together! I'm sorely tempted to throw the whole thing out!

Performance Power Hedge Trimmer, i have had mine for about 3 yrs its the best buy i have ever had paid £50 it will cut through anything, i have never had a leaky fuel tank, but i never leave my machine with fuel in the tank, as any make would leak after a while. i would buy another one. but i cant get this one to let me down.

Had my performance power 24cchta for 6 years now and it is built to a price not a specification. To repair the leaking fuel grommet place a rubber 'o' ring approx: 2.5mm thick, o/s dia, 20mm, i/s dia 15mm between the top/ outside of the tank and the top half of the grommet, push the grommet well in to the tank. looking through the filler hole ensure that the lower lip of the grommet has located in the hole. {A vauxhall astra 1.6 16v mk4 rubber oil sump sealing ring should also work if you can' ...

I have a small gardening business and have had 2 of these Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc Petrol machines (one was made by JCB) . They are cheap and quite sturdy.
Each one has lasted a season so i cant really complain (I only paid £50 for each one) however both cables have broken and i cant seem to get spares so i have 2 otherwise good machines on my hands.

The Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA is a worthless product, no outlet for parts or repairs. wished I had done more research before I purchased this dreadful product

Buy a second hand decent make off e-bay and save yourself the hassle. I had nothing but trouble with this B&Q product.

I bought this Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA three years ago and it has been leaking petrol for about a year. This summer, however, it's much worse. I just filled the tank and the petrol is pouring out. Not happy!

In 2006 I purchased a Performance Power petrol mower from B&Q. Model No 1P647. After about six cuts it stopped and petrol started to pour out of the carb. I contacted B&Q who were not interested. (Just out of guarantee. Contacted local mower mechanic who tells me that he has had problems withe PP mowers before. As soon as petrol is placed in the tank the rubber seals perish. Great? Again contacted B&Q. Not interested. My mower is the only one that has given them a problem. Can you believe that. ...

I can not seem to get spares for the Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc Petrol hedge trimmer. Petrol leaks from the fuel tank; it's only a rubber washer, but I can not find anyone who sells spares for this product!

I was very disappointed that there was no "after-sales" service.

When cutting the hedge for the third time last summer. The Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA hedge trimmer suddenly stopped.

Because I had tried a new plug the warranty was no longer valid, and I can get no one to repair it.

It was a complete waste of money.

    Pensioner.

I have just taken the second one back to the supplier (large DIY chain) and got my money back.

The first Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc Petrol hedge trimmer that I had lasted about one hour. The second was pretty useless straight out of the box.

It would appear that the clutch is not man enough for the job!

I would never buy another Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc Petrol hedgecutter again (for another 20 years until they learn how to do it right). Spend a bit more and buy a lighter one.

I would have taken the thing back after petrol spewed everywhere when I used it in any position, except to cut the top of a hedge, but all autumn and winter and spring I never used it and by the time the problem reoccurred, the warranty had run out. (I had thought it was me overfilling the petrol container ...

I think the points above pretty well sum the Performance Power Pro PRO24CCHTA 24cc Petrol hedge trimmer up. Bought earlier this year, and used twice, it stopped working and the blades will not drive. I stripped it down, and found the clutch spring broken in two. I will be returning it for a refund. It is also heavy and difficult to use when cutting upwards on hedge face.

I bought the Performance Power Pro petrol hedge trimmer because it appeared to be good value for money and sturdy. I used it once and it worked well and did the job it was inteneded for although it was very heavy. I put it back in it's box and followed the manufacturers guidelines where it lay for about 6 month in the house unused. I have tried on several occasions to start it this year without any success it will not start. My petrol driven lawn mower is stored in the shed and it starts almost ...

I bought the Performance Power hedge trimmer because it seemed like good value for money, I also bought a Performance Pro chain saw. The hedge trimmer started leaking petrol. This is because the rubber grommet in the petrol tank around the fuel line was no longer petrol-proof. When I dismantled it to find the problem, I found for example that the throttle cable mechanism is also poorly designed. It appears that the company have tried to bring the product in at too low a price and have compromise ...

I purchased a new Performance Power Hedge Trimmer which operated well for the first half of my hedge.
It then started to vibrate and although the blades were operating, it would not cut even the softest foliage.
Had to borrow an electric trimmer to finnish the job.
Returned the product for a refund.
