Good Points: In depth investigation and analysis. Constant problems with team member Brian
Bad Points: Nothing really
General comments: Ghost Hunters is a reality based programme about 2 American daytime plumbers who become ghost hunters at night for their company called TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society). They have team members based around the USA who they call upon depending on where their current case is situated. Having said that, they do have some members who seem to be regulars on their investigations, these are Brian (irritating), Andy Andrews (far too excitable!) and another guy who I think is called Steve (likes winding Brian up).
What makes this show different from other ghost programmes (ie. Most Haunted) is that the TAPS team go to a location to try and disprove a haunting. They will set up their equipment, which includes locked off cameras, tape recorders and EMF (Electro magnetic filed) readers among other more technical stuff. The team will then analysis any "evidence" caught by the equipment and try to come up with a rational explanation.
What I like about the show though is that its like a little reality TV show, with certain team members who wind each other up or don,t really get on with each other. Particularly Brian, who week after week do's something wrong and is always getting reprimanded.
For anyone interested in the Paranormal it makes a refreshing change to see a show which approaches the investigations with a more critical eye.
