    I ordered a new Citreon C4 car through Lloyds TSB Car Select at the end of July, I was told the car was in stock in the UK and they would be able to get delivery for the 1st Sept, mid August they took payment, end of August they phoned to tell me that the car would not be delivered until mid to late Sept. nothing happened, I phoned again to be told the car would not be at the dealers until 12th Oct, Friday I phoned for an update only to be told that it woul;d not in the country until 26th October.
    If you want to buy a car CarSelect can not deliver, and they do not keep you informed. But the do take your money!

    Bought a BMW last week from Car Select. One of the agreement terms was to replace the front tyres, on collection these were not replaced as they were "within the legal tread requirement". They did not carry out the valet as stated on the purchase order and I even had shards of glass in the car from where the windsreen had been replaced.     Bought a 58 reg. BMW last week. On collecting the car it had not been correctly PDI'd, there were shards of glass inside where the screen had been changed, the car had not been cleaned. I also had to point out that it stated on the PO that I would have new front tyres, the old tyres were still on it. Although they have now changed the tyres, I had to go back again as the tracking was out. Now, the service light has come on, after they apparantly serviced it.     I had fantastic customer service from Lloyds tsb car select and after service is great i called them only las week after buying my car in 2004 and they were very friendly and helpfull. ive never had a problem with my car and would go back to them again and again.

    Was okayed to finance an Avensis by Lloyds TSB Car Select only to see the interest rate was not even close to the 5.8% base rate I had been told they offer. No one there would except, or explain, that the rate on the signed agreement was above 10.7% even with a clean credit record. After contacting Black Horse, who were good to deal with, they explained the rate is based on each individual and would not necessarily be 5.8 with a good record.     I've just bought my car using Lloyds TSB Car Select and i love it, but the pre and post sales and service from the company is awful. I shouldn't moan too much, because i love my car and i can't find any faults with it, but people need to be aware, before they make their choice, that this company is letting down its customers.

    My car was supposed to be valetted, (two and a half hours they told me) and cleaned and polished before i picked it up. It was filthy on the outside and hadn't been clean ...

    Car broke down twice with broken springs. One was replaced under warranty but the repairer damaged the bodywork and denied responsibility cost me £90.00 to get dent removed. Took car to Citroen dealer for 2nd repair they also did the original spring again and replaced the strut which Citroen paid for. At the same time the rear brakes were repaired under warranty. Altogether the car was off the road for 5 weeks in the first 2 months.

    Lloyds TSB Car Select never called me. "I will call you in an hour" at Car Select is not always a guarantee.
    When they eventually decided to give me a bell they didn't let it ring long enough for me to answer. It is not so easy to ring them though, because lines were engaged when I phoned. You probably have to experience to understand.
    Would seriously hesitate to deal with them again.

    I ordered my car, a Renault Clio back in late February from Lloyds TSB Car Select, i got regular updates of my car from manufacture to delivery. The car turned up on April 15th. I was very satisfied, the service was great, shall not hesitate to buy again from car select. can highly recommend. Well done car select,and to the staff.

    Been trying to order new car for weeks. So far dealt with 4 different sales people. The first phoned me constantly for 4 weeks. When I tried to place an order they can't seem to manage it. Have called them around 7 or 8 times. Yesterday was the last straw - the salesman promised he'd have my quote emailed to me today. Guess what...?
    Oh and by the way I'm a long standing Lloyds TSB private and business customer.

    Just bought a second hand car from them, they were very thorough, changing items that other 2nd hand dealers would not have bothered with. Top quality used car warranty + new 12 month MOT, efficient service. Excellent choice of upper average fleet cars, frequently changing stock. Would use again for a second hand 3 or 4 year old car.

    Excellent customer service, I had to wait 12 weeks for my car, which I knew at the time of order. I saved £5500 on my car and they would ring regularly to update me On the progress of my order. It was delivered to the door, totally stress free with nearly half a tank of fuel. We are about to change our second car soon and would use them again in an instance. Tip, I'm a Lloyds TSB customer so we had a cheque back after 3 weeks for using them. 10/10
