Good Points: Great staff with good customer skills, quick resolution to issues. Website well constructed and everything you need to read is in there. Staff are honest and open with responses.
Bad Points: Sourcing car through supplier change, but only very small delay.
General comments: I am surprised at the "full on customer service" or "no service" on these reviews. I have to say that my transaction was flawless. I did a lot of research before committing though. Reading through the T&C's was a must for me. I am surprised that comments about lack of phone calls and emails are propagating, all my promises were met and I had quick responses to emails, even after everything was completed and they didn't have to "delight" me any more as a potential customer.
I ordered as they were changing supplier (as I read seems to be a common bone of contention), but my car was resourced and ready for delivery within 5 working days. In fact the only thing that held things up was the Spam Filter on Google Mail (not their fault)...but given it started "your invoice" , I can forgive Google for thinking I had been getting Viagra, Extension emails etc.

One mistake I made was not workout all my questions for them to start with. I was a little in the dark at the start of the process but that was more down to me being too excited about getting a new car not to ask the questions I should have. But they always answer the phone when I called and put my mind to rest. They give good feed back via email and emailed me with no prompting from me with the final delivery details.

We had faultless service from buyacar.com. Right from the initial contact to the delivery of our vehicle, we had excellent service and communication from the company. The staff members that we were dealing with were polite, informative and courteous.
Our trade in was competitively valued (could have been more of course...) and our new purchase was offered to us at a price that was lower than our local dealership.
We would not hesitate in recommending buyacar.com to our friends and family. ...

The service I received from Buy a Car was faultless. All the members of the team I dealt with were efficient, very helpful & a credit to the company. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Buy a Car to friends & family or use them again in the future.

Buyacar offered a far better discount for my VW Passat Estate than any dealers could. They had a slight hiccup with their supplier which caused a couple of weeks delay whilst they sourced another one but they kept me up to date and the car was delivered at the new specified date/time.
I found their service to be good, their prices excellent and their sales people very helpful. I will not hesitate to use them again.

I was surprised to read the negative reviews of buyacar.co.uk - not my experience at all. I ordered a car at the end of May, because the price was cheaper than anywhere else. I was told delivery would be the start of July. To be fair, I didn't really hear anything from them for a couple of weeks during which I guess they could have kept me more up to date with the order, but it duly turned up and was actually a few days early before the end of June. They said delivery time would be about 8 weeks. 11 weeks later, they still had no clue where our car was. After we called and demanded to know what's going on, they said their provider ceased to exist so we would have to wait 8 more weeks for them to put the order in with someone else. They had no news every time we called and promised someone will get back to us as soon as possible. That never happened. In 11 weeks, not once did they contact us with news about the car. Buy A Car www.buyacar.co.uk specified a delivery time of 3-4 weeks, but may take up to 8 weeks. Later found out after paying £500.00 deposit that they didn't even place the order for the car until after 3 weeks, they then tried to tell us that they said delivery was 10 weeks, I have documentation stating 4-8 weeks. Bought car elsewhere cheaper, now have the hassle of trying to recover the deposit. I found them an awful company to deal with, and that customer care was appalling.
