“homestart. vehicle would not start.”

Rover 75 would not start .suspected fuel problem. recovery turned up in about an hour. Believe me this guy went through everything fuel wise but could not get the car going. off on low loader to my local garage. asked him to explain to mechanics. did so . Fixed next day..New fuel filter. Could not fault the service. get email from the asking for proof of repair as they wont attend if the same problem occurs and it is not fixed. “Great! - Cant believe what you get for that cheap!”

Reading some of the reviews on here makes me wonder if they're talking about the same company! Car broke down whilst travelling from Manchester to Norwich. Phoned the call centre, call took no longer than 5 minutes (U K call centres make it that much easier!!!) The response time was just under 45 minutes which i'm more than happy with. There I was ill at the Hospital tonight with only a flat battery and they wouldn't come out because in the Winter they came out when my battery got wet, so as far as they are concerned I hadn't had the battery repaired!!! Load of rubbish it had just got flat from doing short trips for 2 months. Not what I call Roadside recovery. I took out a policy with this shower (Drive 24-7) for my 19-year-old son and his first car, in November last year (2013). In December last year he called them out as his car wouldn't start. He subsequently received an email requesting proof of repair, which he duly sent to them. “Recovery & Customer Service”

No recovery after 2 1/2 hrs, breakdown vehicle was 120 miles away.I was not contacted during this time, all calls were by me at my cost. I am a 78yrs old diabetic, I had no medication and the temperature was down to 7Deg ( explained to the breakdown people. They could`nt promise recovery within 1hr, so I arranged recovery at my cost. This so called breakdown assist company is an absolute joke. DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY ON THESE CLOWNS. “Geography and directions not good service worse”

I changed to Drive 24-7 after reading their web site. Did not get off to a good start but things were eventually sorted. Mr Allen and the staff at Drive 24-7 could not have been anymore pleasant and helpful to my needs.. my car had to be towed to the garage but the company they use Swift Recovery were too great even letting me go to my GP appointment before sending the recovery vehicle. It's funny how most of the best reviews start in 2010 and nearly drop to ONE STAR in 2014. No one knows what any Breakdown Recovery Service is really like until they are called upon in the event of a breakdown. “Avoid, avoid, avoid”

I bought breakdown cover for my wife's car from this crowd a year or so ago. She's only had call to ring them twice....the first time, her drivers door wouldn't shut. They refused to attend- told her to read the small print. The second time, her turbo had blown (confirmed at the time my my local mechanic- who told her not to drive it) and the car was un-drivable. “AVOID!! Can't even provide a simple jump start!”

PLEASE DO NOT JOIN AS YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY! AWFUL AND UNRELIABLE SERVICE!! I joined Drive 24/7 in October 13. My car didn't start on 20/12/13; I called the service centre and asked for a homestart assistance mentioning that the fault could be as simple as a flat battery. A "mechanic" was sent over; we asked him to provide a simple jump start. He REFUSED to do so! He insisted that he was unable to repair the fault and offered recovery to the nearest garage. Following the appalling service my wife received when she tried to call Drive 24/7 after hitting a kerb resulting in a flat tyre, I would not recommend this company. They demanded that she answer numerous questions she wouldn't know the answer to -like what type of tyre, engine and a host of others etc. They also wanted to know how the tyre became flat! I paid for immediate cover for the year, then unfortunately broke down on the M1. All of drive 24 telephone systems were down for over 6 hours with no way of contacting them about anything let alone recovery! we had the European breakdown which did not cover us at all. We broke down in Europe to be told that our policy was invalid. After walking a couple of miles to find a wifi signal to discover we were - we had been told we needed to inform them we were out of the country! Even when this was cleared up we were left stranded for over 27 hrs before deciding to make our own way home and recover the vehicle at a later date having arranged for it to be fixed ourselves.
