Food ok at Loch Fyne Restaurant, Chelmsford! not a great choice, unless you want to share. Service the worse i've come accross, rude poorly trained staff, no passion, even asked if i was planning on giving them a tip!!!

Fantastic ambience, good service but dreadful food. Cold plates, tastless soup, freezing cold salad. Sadly will not be going to Loch Fyne Restaurant again.

Hi, We went to loch fyne restaurant in June 2007 as a group of 8 at lunchtime and although the food was good the service was appauling.

A couple of people had the seafood platters, but and so didnt have starters as they were so large. About an hour later no mains had arrived and we asked and were told that they thought the seafood platters were starters and so were waiting until people had finished those. ( three tier £40 seafood platters)

The resturant was fairly newly opened then but ...

Well, been a few times to the Loch Fyne Chelmsford branch as I live nearby.
They had a good deal 10 months ago, 2 courses plus glass of wine for £12.
The food first time round was good, but since then every visit back to the place has gone down in opinion, to the point where we won't be going again. The quality of food is overrated, having eaten seafood from different parts of the world, personlly this is of average standard.

The service is hit and miss, sometimes they can be friendly an ...

My only suggestions for the Loch Fyne Restaurant are perhaps with the price tag should come the benefits of trained staff who pull chairs out and do not just plonk food on the table. Having said that it should all be about the food and that is first class.

Very disappointed with this restaurant and the customer service offered by the company, i visited the restaurant on the 5th July 2008, my 9 year old daughter wanted the king prawns in garlic, the waitress was aware this dish was for a 9 year old, when the dish was served it was just FIVE king prawns (hardly a main meal) with the full shell and heads on, i gave my meal to my daughter and at the end of the meal the waitress asked if we enjoyed our meal? When i told her about the prawns not being s ...

When booking for a party of people to eat you have to submit the menu first. I felt main meals were not as good as when i have eaten there as a couple.

I'll definitely be visiting the Loch Fyne restaurant in Chelmsford again, as soon as they sort out the waiting staff situation, so I can enjoy the wonderful food in a much more refined and friendly environment.

The Loch Fyne Restaurant in Chelmsford has only been open since 23rd April 2007, and I think it will be an absolute hit with all seafood lovers in the area.

I went with my partner, and we enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken liver pat (yes, they do offer non-seafood options) and a salad of smoked beef with pancetta, rocket and Parmesan for starters, followed by the home made fish stew with chorizo and olives and pan-fried fillet of bream with olive oil mash and watercress pesto as a main cou ...
