    Good Points: style,

    Bad Points: touch screen

General comments: The Samsung U600 is a great phone just too sensitive.

General feeling is I don't like Samsung U600! Samsung really didn't think out the idea behind this phone...... goodness knows what their new slider with touch sensitive buttons will be like?

Overall, I think that the samsung U600 is a well produced, sleek mobile phone. It encorporates new technology inside a nice compact and light phone. Although there are a few times when the touch screen can take a while to register the touch and the GPRS is a tad slow, there is still the raw sexiness of the phone, applied with the 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, make this phone one definately to be seen with.

I bought this Samsung U600 phone 6 months ago and until last week it was fine except for the really slow camera. I have missed some great things due to having to wait for the picture to take. It then decided I wasn't allowed to text anymore and froze every time I tried. I have now realised this only happens on predictive text so I have to use normal text which is a real pain. I have had 4 samsung phones and they have always been extremely reliable and I have had no problems with any of them. I a ...

This Samsung U600 is the worst phone I have ever owned. I have had nothing but trouble with it since the start. First it kept wiping all my text messages and media files and reverting all my settings to factory settings whenever I turned it off. I had it fixed and it worked ok for a few months, but today it has started freezing every time I try to send a text. I would never recommend this phone to anyone. I plan to destroy it with a hammer once my contract is up and they send me a better one.

I totally agree with all the other reviews that say the Samsung U600 phone is awful - because it is. It may look nice, but that is where the good points end. It switches itself off and you need to remove the battery to turn it on again. Text messages 'fail' and you can't read them. The camera won't work if there is a lot of other data on the phone (images, texts, music) - and when it does work, it's very very slow. After being in an area of no signal, it won't find signal again until you turn it ...

This phone is a nightmare. I have had nothing but trouble with it since last July. Freezing while trying to text, switching itself off when it feels like it, despite being in area of good coverage, deciding it has none and cannot ring out or no-one ring me!! And the strangest one of all, when someone rings an image of a computer screen comes up! That one even fooled the guys at carephone warehouse! This phone has been in to be fixed numerous times but plays up within days of coming back. I ...

My first U600 handset lasted only about 2 weeks before it failed. The phone freezes and the only way to restart it is to take the battery out. Then when it is restarted it reverts to factory settings. Had problems receiving texts which are received but won't open and are then deleted next time the phone is switched off and on again!! The replacement lasted just under four weeks and the replacement for that lasted about 6 weeks!! That was then "repaired" but has now failed again. In fact th ...

The Samsung U600 is a very nice phone to look at but a horrible phone to use! I have to charge mine every second night and at the moment am unable to send a text message as it freezes every time i try and do so! The camera is slow too - once the picture has eventually taken (about 3 seconds after you pressed the button) the image is blurry because no one can ever pose for long enough! Roll on December when i can get a Nokia!

I've had the Samsung U600 phone for about a year now, and of the 5 I've owned (2 Samsung's, 1 Nokia, 1 LG) this is definately the best one. Reading through the reviews on here I'm quite surprised with the common complaints that keep coming up, as I haven't experienced them! The soft keys seem to work well and require a nice light touch - I have never had the problem of calls dropping because the soft keys touch my face as the keys are locked whilst the phone in use. Also, if you know the sof ...

DO NOT GET THIS PHONE its a nightmare!!!!! yes its slim and looks nice but the Samsung U600 is not a good phone in general, the touch keys are a nightmare sometimes they are so sensitive and other times they don't work at all, texting is a nightmare, the camera takes far to long to take a picture and it is very irritating. Mine is also currently getting fixed for the second time as my speaker is broken and i couldn't hear people when they called and my phone didn't ring.. Mine has also froze ...

This phone is packed with features and is very nice looking, that however does not make up for its serious design faults and poor components that samsung use. The touch buttons are a major weak link and after paying for a new button board myself after samsung refused to repair it under warranty they have failed again. RUBBISH PRODUCTS AND COMPANY AVOID

The Samsung U600 has a beautiful design. It always is the nicest looking phone on the table! Technically it is a disaster. The keys have a mind of their own and are way too sensitive. Texting is a nightmare. I would not recommend this phone and am definitely looking forward to my next contract.

I had had a Samsung before and really liked it, then saw this when contract was up for renewal when it first came out. Now wish I had stock with my W800i which is far superior. The U600 is the worst phone I have ever had in over 10 years of ownership, and my 1st one didn't even have a screen on it. Samsung seem to have gone more for form than function, with all the individual parts of it programmed by different people with no consultation as to what buttons shall always do what. The soft keys ...

Got this phone a month ago, after a disastrous Nokia N73, and I love it. First of all, it looks fantastic. The touch buttons, slim design and Gun Metal Grey shade all work together to make it look really good. One thing I had hated about previous Samsungs were the way you composed texts....it was a chore. However, they seem to have learned a few tips from Nokia! The camera is great, and everything works with ease. Also, instead of just adding a photo to each of your contacts, you can actuall ...

Better phones out there - ignore this one! The touch buttons are sometimes very sensitive and sometimes not at all. The buttons on the side of the phone are too slim to use effectively. The text sent noise won't turn off on the t-mobile handset. Clumpy menu system and poor setup make any functionality of the phone dissappointing, hard to find, and slow to manage.
