    Good Points: None so far.


    General comments: I'm trying to set up an expenditure protection plan (sickness). Cooperative Insurance Service insist on a face-to-face interview with one of their financial advisers (ie. salesmen) before setting up the policy - not sure why. Anyway I took time of work for the appointment but the adviser didn't show up or telephone. General admin problems when I called the office to try to re-schedule.....unclear voicemail options, endless hold music, can't find my record, wrong date of birth etc etc.
    Personally I expected a lot better from the Co-op.

    The Co-operative insurance society (CIS) offer a great mortgage payment protection cover. It is normally £5 per every £100 of your monthy repayment. You can arrange for it to cover you 100% or if you are a couple and both employed, you can split it into a percent that suits you.
    If you arrange your mortgage through the Co-op bank, you are offered this insurance, if you agree it is taken together with your normal monthly payment (although claims are made through CIS).
