    Cleans dishes well. Very Quiet. Large and easy to read LED countdown timer is a nice feature but the control module can be unreliable. My Bosch SHU6806 just fried its second control module after 7 years of use. First one went a little after 3 years. Time to buy a new dishwasher.

    I have owned a Bosch Model SHU6806 dishwasher for 7 years. It has required repairs every year. The buttons on the control panel are backed by flimsy plastic fingers that are supposed to act as springs to push the buttons back out. A finger has broken every year. I do the labor myself, so I avoid the labor costs, but they would be high. The job of replacing the plastic console case with the fingers on it takes about an hour.

    Re: BOSCH Dishwasher SHU-6806UC The program control module is inappropriate for the duty. Mine has now faied twice in less than 6 years of duty, approximately lasting only 3 years between failures. I have read multiple website consumer reviews and have discovered that I am not alone!!! During the warranty period the part was replaced but labor is not covered. Now that I am past the warranty period the cost of both the part and labor is almost 50% of the cost of the unit brand new!
