After 2 or 3 years of very light use, the motor commutator has started to disintegrate which will lead to motor failure. I have stopped using it for safely reasons. In addition the blower is weak and can't match a garden rake and the vac does not deal well with wet leaves. Hard to find any positives to report… Read Full Review

This Ryoby RBV 2200 is heavy and can't really get in tighter spots or a bit deeper under the bushes. Just threw away mine, after two years of infrequent use. The collector bag split (many comments online on this very subject, a new one is about £30!) after a year and a half, several letters and phonecall later they sent a replacement but for a different machine. Sent it back and several letters and phonecalls later they sent a correct replacement collector bag. Second use of that collector bag… Read Full Review

I had a Ryobi RESV2200 and the motor burned out after less than two years sporadic use. The bag connection plastic clip broke shortly after purchase. The bag wore out where it can contact with the ground and I had to purchase a new one. I never used the shoulder strap as it was not convenient. I liked the variable speeds and it was generally good at blowing and mulching. I replaced this device with the RBV3000VP - don't even think about it. It is very heavy and there is an interlock on the… Read Full Review

I had a Ryobi Garden Vac and blower previously, so after many years good service I replaced it with a Ryobi RBV2200. I found this heavy to use(and I'm not small). The bag started wearing out where it connects to the machine after about a year, and the safety switch would often not reconnect when replacing the nozzle. Now after 2 years of ordinary use the motor front bearing has completely failed, so I'll be going somewhere else for the replacement vac blower.

The bushes on my Ryobi RBV-2400P became loose after a little over 2 years. The motor shaft then rattled around inside the motor housing and I felt it was too dangerous to use. I used it less than a dozen times. I contacted Ryobi but they were not interested. I may have just been unlucky but I will not be buying a Ryobi garden vac again.
The motor was extremely noisy but quite effective when it worked. The bag was quite strong and fitted quite firmly to the machine. It was generally quite well… Read Full Review
