    Good Points: This camera has an excellent zoom which is made practical by the optical image stabiliser which means you can take massive zoom photos without a tripod even in low light. Has a good quality bright screen and viewfinder that is full colour. Huge amounts of control with a fully manual mode that is controlled by an easy to use scroll wheel dedicated to manual mode. Nice rugged easy to grip shape. The camera can take AA batteries or a Kodak power cell. It's good value for money but requires a big case.


    Bad Points: The Kodak EasyShare Z712 has very few bad points in comparison to the positives, the favourites section seems like a waist of time, have never used it. The cameras battery life when using normal AA batteries is not brilliant but is satisfactory, if Kodak power cell is used it is very effective. It is heavier and larger than a normal digital camera but is smaller than a D-SLR but offers similar performance.


    General comments: Excellent all-round camera but recommended for more experienced users that don't want to invest in a expensive D-SLR but want more than standard performance.
